@ Milliethedog.....................NICO IS THE MASTER. I remember when we "old ones" started on the forum in this section and Nico was just getting started. Just consider and look at what he has done; what he has contributed. His work is the "fountain of youth" for this game in many many ways. :)
Old Timer Panzer General fan. Maybe a Volksturm soldier now. Did they let Volksturm drive Panzers?

The Volkstrum might not of driven many tanks, but they certainly killed plenty!

I have been doing some Beta testing for Nico and have really enjoyed it, but I can't believe that I almost missed this classic game up date.

It's five years already and not many of the "old ones" remain; the "new ones" are doing a terrific job as well :)

I have this game on steam. Is the installation the same? I have no idea where steam writes these game files to.

I am up to Moscow 42, great fun, brings back memories, a tree would be useful as there are lots of choices available and paths to go.

"Tu" column lists the turn that a major victory can be accomplished by
when on the offensive except for the following codes:
"D" - axis are on the defensive, objectives must be held.
"NA" - is for Ardennes which is an offensive scenario with special
victory conditions.
"*" - seemingly impossible state to be in.
"?" - not sure about path for minor and loss.
"??" - not sure about turn for major.

"[NoW]" means war is over in the west: use scenarios which include the
line "(NoE)" from now on.

"[NoE]" means war is over in the east: use scenarios which include the
line "(NoW)" from now on.

A result listed as "scenario1/scenario2" means the player can choose
between the two scenarios to play.

All other results, like "LOSE" for example, end the game.

Hello,

Thx for the update.
Just one question: wouldn't it be possible like the original game to start the campaign on the Eastern Front in 1941 or 1943 ?
It seems the player has to start in Poland in all cases.

If I want to use the four squares depicting the battles on the main screen (on Eastern or Western front in 1941 or 1943) it does not work, logical since files have been replaced by this mod but I thought they led to the new campaign paths.

So unlike PG the player is condemned to start from Poland if I want to play a campaign (I do not speak about standalone scenarios).

Strange also, in the specific dossier for DLCs, the PG campaign appears twice.

Extract and load into GME.

Start the game, chose new game, then you can chose between the four entries (1939, 1941 East, 1943 East, 1943 West) to play.

Sorry Nivivdd but it does not work for me.

I can just start a campaign from Poland and play any scenario.
From the main screen I don't have access to campaigns like I did in the previous version.

I have played a lot of mods using GME without issue (Europe, Soviet Storm, Original PG, ...).

I am using GME for years...
I really do not want to start from Poland in order to play on the Eastern Front, I feel sad, the previous version worked.

We have "only" "Audio", "Data" and "Localisation" directories, I have seen much more complicated mods than this one to install!!!
Localisation is only used if you play using the German language.
I do not see any file in the mod modifying the main screen showing up the four campaigns.

I just see five times PG Campaign for PzC in the DLC.

In the mod version 0.15 we had the following directories: "Data", "Graphics" and "UI".
Only "Data" directory is commonly present in this mod v 0.3. Strange isn't it ?

I unrarred the file into the GME Mods folder; then after i load the extracted folder into GME, i start the game, i chose a new game and then i click on one of the four choices from the vanilla campaign; so there is no need whatsoever to access and select the campaign from the classified folder.
Technically, I replaced the vanilla campaign tree with the PG original campaign tree in the campaign. pzdat file.

Version 0.3 is not working for me either.
I found back version 0.15 in my backup, it works like a charm (there are much more files in it than version 0.3).

Anyway I hope I could play your improved version someday.
I am using GME for years, I beta tested a lot of Slitherine campaigns and I am playing a lot of mods, I do not understand why your version 0.3 is not working for me, a mystery...

Thank you for this mod nikivdd I really enjoy playing it! I love the capturable units and the re-design you made in the scenarios, I find this mod better than the original game!

But I must say that I am experiencing the same issues that RobertCL has. I bought the game via steam... maybe it has something to do with that...

Anyways keep up the good work!

I am playing out of Steam so Steam is not the problem.

Version 0.3 has far less files than version 0.15, this explains that...

Thanks for making this campaign. I have enjoyed playing through it.

However, I just wanted to point out one inconsistency. After getting decisive victories in England in 1940 and Moscow in 1943, I was sent to D-day instead of Washington.

Looking in the "campaign.pzdat" file, there appears to be an issue. After finishing the Stalingrad(NoW) scenario, you are incorrectly put into the non-NoW scenarios as shown below:

Stalingrad(NoW) 0082.pzbrf PG_Stalingrad.pzscn Moscow_42 4000 0042.pzbrf Kharkov 2750 0043.pzbrf Kharkov 2500 0201.pzbrf


Edit:
It should be changed to:
