some noob questions

Post by massi »

I have some questions:
supplies, with prestige points, as are given to the troops?
in relation to neighboring hexagons? or controlled areas?

if a unit is surrounded by enemies can receive supplies?

what is a hexagon? 10 km?
How big are the units? battalions, divisions or other

thanks a lot.
aspect of tomorrow's joy!
panzercorps will be a small jewel of entertainment
sorry for my googlenglish :)

Supply and prestige are separate resources, they have no direct relationship.
Certain hexes, terrain, and weather does affect supply amounts.
Each adjacent enemy unit diminishes supply by a percentage, and 3 or more enemy units reduces supply to 0%.

As for hex and unit scale...
There is no set scale in Panzer Corps, that's partly the wonderful flexibility, simplicity, and approachability of the game. Most maps are played on an 'operational' level though.

On the small, early maps your units might be as small as battalion strength. But on most maps your units will be regimental or brigade strength. On some maps, even divisional strength. The game is abstract, and not at all intended to be an accurate historical simulation, so unit sizes are purposely nebulous.
