Jonathan4290 (Lydians) 38/50 defeats Paulmcneil (Lydians) 46/43
Hard-fought game between two very different Lydian armies in a strange battlefield featuring an oasis right in the middle, restricting maneuver. Each army deployed the vast bulk of its forces on its respective right pushing back the opposition and making it into an east-west battle. The armoured hoplites proved to be tough to bring down while the chariots could not find a unit they could defeat.

Re: Immortal Fire Triple Life Tournament
Quick note for all players.
Unlike last tournament in which all matches began at same time, to speed things up while still being flexible, players will begin their matches as soon as their next-round opponent is set to a limit of being no more than 1 round ahead. For example, players cannot be playing their 4th round match if there are still 2nd round matches going on. The 2 weeks per round still applies. I will ensure to post and PM matchups.

Londo (EA Persians) 34/52 defeated Ironclad (Early Carth) 55/52
There was a river running through the middle of the battlefield. The Carthaginians raced across it and attacked everywhere at full speed, no doubt wanting to avoid the Persian arrow storm. But Persian troop quality, armour, and generally good luck won the day, though the Shah did not live to see his victory.

MikeMarchant's Later Colonial Greeks (31/56) beat Praeter's Macedonians (41/35).
A tough game for Praeter, where the superior numbers told against the superior quality.
Best Wishes
Mike

batesmotel (Alexandrian Macedonian Late) 20/42 beat iandavidsmith (Indian) 56/53
Despite lots of terrain on the map, the Indians came out in the open to fight bravely if unsuccessfully. Thanks for the game.

stockwellpete (Late Alexandrian Macedonian) beat Brenmusik (Saka) on Jonathan's adjudication. Score was roughly 13/46 v 33/52 in my favour when Joe's computer gave up the ghost.
