Problem updating Panzer Corps

Knowing that US Corps was due out to day. I launched Panzer Corps and it did a "Check for Update". It went out an found a 1.26 update and download and ran it. The update failed, uninstalled itself and completely messed up my installation of Panzer Corps to the point I cannot even run it. Who needs viruses when we have vendor updates?

Sorry you are having problems. Can you explain exactly what you did as the updater has no way to uninstall your game. Did you see it run an uninstall process or something else went wrong?

Can you try the patch again. Maybe something became corrupt.

Sorry to hear that you've had issues. There's a chance that you ended up downloading a partially complete patch as that's the time that we were uploading the files.

Can you try downloading the patch from the below link, running it and seeing if it sets your files right?

We've tested this again on multiple machines and it all works fine here. We're not sure what happened but somehow your version became corrupt. Pleases try patching again and see what happens. Thanks!

seems it happened with another user, so maybe too early on the download, as this patch now works fine, confirmed by 2 users, link and me

Happened to me to, I followed what was suggested and my game working again. I think it was correct we downloaded while it was been upload and that probably corrupt the file. It just didn't install and left things messy. I did before downloading again delete the original download make sure there no further problems.

All working so thanks for fast response helped me sort mine quickly.

Thanks I will try that file when I get home. May I suggest that you disable the update function in the future while you are in the midst of uploading files.

That might be good idea especially with steam as it auto updates soon as you start windows, that includes all games in person library if they not set auto updates off for games.

It was non steam version of Panzer Corps I had issue on. I actually planned update and install US GC on that first, then run steam and unlock US GC for that after.

Ironically after that issue slowing down me buying US GC, I then went to my email to clear it out of any junk, with plan to then buy US GC and I got internal error message when opening my email, so Microsoft must of been doing some maintenance.

If God exist then God has sense of humor. Maybe this time I get buy US GC.

I downloaded the suggested file and ran it. It still froze and failed to update "Update.exe". I was able to get past that but then a window opened about verifying uninstall files. Is this supposed to happen? Seeing no way to stop it, I restarted my PC. This at least enabled me to get Panzer Corps back working on my PC. We will see if it allows me to install US Corps.

Is it stable now? Planning to get US corps in 6 hrs time after I finish work dun want to end up like that, I have a lot of save files and would not like to mess it and the game hahaha

I was able to at least get mine to work and play through the first 2 Scenarios of US Corps 1942. Just as a precaution you may want to copy off you Panzer Corps entire game folder to a backup location. Couldn't hurt.

Lol Thx for the advice. Makes me jittery to think about all the work to be done for a game. I mean all game should be release when it is stable, it ain't fun buying something that is broken or gonna broke something

nothing broken, it was just some user downloaded the new patch while it was still being released, so caused it to error, nothing more nothing less tbh

Also you should always take the usual procedures, like checking if any of the Internet security programs/anti-virus, firewall,etc.) isn't interfering with the update.

I ran into that too. I advise doing what lots of others are doing and getting this site to generate a Steam key and having this entire game series on Steam. Just cleaner and it updates by itself.
