Aircraft in the Tulagi Scenario

One thing has confused me every since I got the US Marines DLC - why does the Tulagi scenario include 6 air command points, but whenever I try to buy anything except float planes, there's no air supply to deploy them? Am I supposed to buy six Kingfishers? Three Catalinas? Is there something I'm missing about how this scenario works?

Did you not notice the US carrier Wasp at the bottom center of the screen? Comes with a Wildcat and the other 6 air CPs can be used to buy tac bombers (suggested) or whatever (not suggested).

Funny thing is, when I first bought the game, I did notice the Wasp. I tried buying a fighter (with an eye towards the objective of shooting down the recon plane). When that didn't work, I scratched my head and gave up on aircraft in general.

I just now replayed it and I can deploy Wildcats and Dauntlesses just fine. Maybe I had a bugged copy.
