Wars Of the Roses changes?

Post by AlanYork »

Just looking at the Wars Of The Roses list and I see that Yorkists can now use Northern Border foot. This is a change from DBM when they were only available to Richard III and the Lancastrians.

Personally I always disagreed with the DBM interpretation as though the Northern Lords were mainly Lancastrian in sympathy, Richard Duke Of York held a good deal of land up here in the north and was indeed retreating up to his lands and supporters when he found himself penned in at Wakefield.

I haven't really looked at the errata for the FoG lists so I was wondering if this a definate change from DBM or if it has since been amended to match the DBM lists.

I normally prefer to let the authors answer this type of query but as you're still waiting...

The Yorkists are permitted to use Northern Border troops for the reasons you state. I played against one at the BHGS Challenge so it was checked by one of the moderators.

For what its worth I'd say it's a definitine change.
