Collector's Edition

Sengoku Jidai: Shadow of the Shogun is a turn-based tactical and strategic game set during this turbulent time; primarily focusing on the Japanese Warring States period and Japanese Invasion of Korea. Other armies from East Asia are also made available to simulate different conflicts across the region.

Collector's Edition

Post by FroBodine »

A collector's edition with extra campaigns, and the game hasn't even been released yet?

The campaigns should be part of the standard release, since they're already done, and the collector's edition should just be the extra Field of Glory and e-book stuff. Charging us extra for more campaigns held out of the base game? Bad form.

I don't care at all about the e-book stuff, but I DO want the extra campaigns. Any way to just get them?

The extra campaigns were written specifically for the collector's edition, they were not held out of the base edition. If there had not been a collector's edition, they would not exist at all.

How many missions are in each of the two collector's edition campaigns, please? I'm just trying to decide if the collector's edition is the way to go or not.

Thanks!

They don't have pre-set missions. They are strategic campaigns with the battles arising from the strategic situation.

Richard means there are two new additional dynamic campaigns. Mongol vs Japan on Japanese map. Manchu Vs Korea on Korea Map. Both maps already exist in the game. No new historical missions.

FYI - on steam the components of the collectors edition can be bought seperately. So if you consider the price too high for the content that you are interested in just buy the bits you want.

There is some delay in getting the Collector's Edition to appear on the STEAM product page. The Slitherine elves are working on it.

Well on steam normal edition little bit more expensive, so probably same on Collecters edition.

Also with buying from Slitherine/matrix you can add to steam so get both! so much better get from Slitherine/matrix. (other point buying and registering with Slitherine/matrix also gives bonus of anniversary discount for any account on matrix/slitherine, more games registered to the account the bigger the discount)

There is fact buying from Slitherine will also help more in funding the games we love.

Unfortunate for me I get paid monday so long weekend screams lots.

How long is the 10% discount offer lasting? Slitherine store doesn't say end date or I am going blind (Steams 10% last till 23rd may)?

I believe the discount will be valid until 26th, just like in Steam. I'll confirm with the office tomorrow morning.
