Calculating supply

I don't know if this is new in the latest patch, but the supply requirements for all on-map units are now calculated in the editor.
Earlier you had to play the first turn to see if you got the supply right (if I've not missed this feature from the beginning ).

Is this a game of "Clue"?

Why not give the "editor" example? Or at least enlighten, the rest of us... (or me)?

Click the Supply Point button in the editor.
For each location that generates supply it will display how much supply is in surplus (green number) or how much you need to add to get all units in supply (red number).
in the screenshot the British have 2012 extra supply while the Japanese is lacking 3 supply.
