Morning Sun Campaign: 5th map bug

On the 5th map of the Sino-Japanese war campaign, you are supposed to shoot down the 2 russian pilots. Well, after I shoot one of them down, it correctly records that, but if I then save and reload... it no longer shows as having been shot down. Which means, no way to finish the secondary quest. If I do destroy both on the same turn, then save after it show the event is complete... on reload the event is still shown as complete, but it also shows 0/2 pilots shot down.

Also, sometimes on this map I get the unit selection icon (two flags around a blank center) floating around on the screen. disappears if I reload.

haven't ever seen this happen with a secondary quest before (over 4 different campaigns I have played, nor any of the previous 4 maps in this one), so thought I should report it.

Using version 2.39 US Marines.
