I expect that I will have them all nicely sorted in the next day or two. The target is the weekend.

Its looking like around 70+ entries or so for the FOG periods, so a pretty good turnout, with players from France and Spain attending

We will be posting the player list with the armies shortly and after I have procecessed the late entries.

Looks like the 25mm should be sponsored by "Clunk & Clang" rather than Kerr & King.. 8)

Great variety in the 15's though - 36 different armies! Shame it's still dominated (geddit?) by Romans - at least 8 different flavours - and that's without the Palmyrans and Selucid Romans.

Should be fun!!

FWIW I did a by book breakdown on the lists as I checked them

Swords and Scimitars 15
Immortal Fire 11
Rise of Rome 12
Storm of Arrows 22
Legions Triumphant 11

So there is a bias towards medieval armies. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the end.

What happened to the seedings? This is important with Matts Giant Kiler prize!!!

I think there is an interesting mix of armies - 36 different armies amongs 61 players.

Seedings will be posted either today or tomorrow. We have had to have a careful review of seedings to make sure that the wrong people can't win Matt's prize ;)

And here was me thinking that seedings were arrived at by a clear scientific method!!! :P

I presume Mr Powell is no 1 seed?

I think Mr Ruddock should be seeded as punishment for keeping on so much

Actully the seedings are mainly worked out scientifically but as we have only had half a year of rankings I have compensated (scientifically) to prevent a bias towards players who have been able to get to more tournaments so far. Essentially if a player has played three comps they will have a 'full' ranking for seeding. We also have to work out how to fit overseas players (of whom there are several) into the mix.

And Mr Powell is not the No.1 seed. He isn't even the No.2!!!

So am I seedless? My wife wouldn't be surprised and perhaps even relieved.

I believe the technical term for seedless is a 'Jaffa'.

Cos I am sad and am also at work I have worked out the seeds playing 15mm from the UK rankings as modified by Hammy's statement above. They are:

1. Phil Powell
2. Paul Cummins
3. Martin Wilkinson
4. Pete Dalby
5. David Fairhurst
6. Bob Amey
7. Steve Clarke
8. Graham Evans
9. Dave Ruddock

Given that you have said Phil is not seeded 1 or 2 that must mean that there are two furriners (no offense meant to any French or Spanish players reading this) seeded first and second. Since there are only four non-English players I suspect that is Olivier Dader and Pedro Sanchez. Although It could be Gilles Wieglsoz or Stephane Brault as well (he says to cover his back)

Given the Giant Killing prize on offer, can I propose that we cap the number of seeds at 10 rather than the usual 16 (given that 25% are normally seeded) please?
