Thanks to Slitherine and all that helped make Panzer Corps
I just wanted say thank you to all helped make Panzer Corps and kept it alive for so long.
I had moments of happiness and moments of dread, frustration hair pulling, computer throwing no way moments.
Panzer Corps has been amazing game that has just continued to grow. I looking forward to the American Grand Campaign soon, as an Englishmen I would of liked British be part of it, but no complaints as all parts are much loved.
Any ideas after Grand campaigns ?

Yeah I agree way so much potential left.
Pre 39 German grand campaign, the invasion of USA other end.
British Grand Campaign but would like on off for been able buy American equipment, would make more interesting.
Soviet grand campaign starting pre 39 either ending in China or continuing on to cold war.
The cold war attack of Russia by British American and German forces, that would be fun place go.
Japanese campaign Start against Chinese see if you can reach America.
Japanese grand campaign too. But you need add in borrowing german tech as Japanese tanks are designed for jungle not useful attacking non jungle or big islands open space.
American grand pacific campaign 2 branches for that one.
American/British India, Burma grand campaign interesting challenge as both America and the English thought this be a side show and therefore limiting supplies and prestige so real challenge.
Then you could also do campaign of other countries biggest victories, Australia, Canada, France etc
Special forces Campaign smaller scale special missions campaign.
Then there the Panzer Corps 2 path as well. I hope when they decide to do this they do lot polls asking what we like and hate about panzer corps, what we like see added.
For me I like see best parts of Panzer Corps, best of order of battle and Blitzkrieg first one of. I like it have system that limits amount of top units that prestige can buy so no all tiger force no all M262 force. I like good sea battle ability. I like big map which you can pick your next battle, then in AI turn the AI choices its next battle, giving things more randomness. Ability choose which side play as. I like units have more balanced need as Panzer Corps bit tank heavy, it be good have to use infantry, recon and anti-tank units more. I hate soft cap. Medals should give stat boost but not big. Rare hero units give slightly better boost. I like see commanders too, they you have choice who and where use and they give forces as whole advantages and disavatages. example is commander that might increase supplies but has disadvantage at close combat. I think be nice if commanders states grow with campaign, so if your great at tank battles he recieve tank battle bonus. This way your customising your forces as you play and really growing love those units and commanders. Who wouldn't want to have there army commanded by Rommel? Patton? or Monty? name a few. Also be nice have air power which needs be added to each front therefore limiting people massing heavy air for a map. Also add in special forces for raiding areas. Naval maps to. That should make it very enjoyable and challenging on lots levels but not boring.

I am very much in favor of Pacific Content for Panzer Corps by now. I had high hopes for OOB but honestly... by now I consider it a fail personally. The thing is bugged, the preformance is horrible. I don't really like the graphics either, the animations are nice but are annoyingly slow after a while. No replay feature, way too easy. Game mechanics like spotting that are not obvious or explained... Just not my thing. It just feels like beta still. Not properly polished.

I know what you mean about OOB, but its young game so hopefully they will make it easy to mod between modders and the companies sort the annoying bugs.
OOB got lot potential if they can sort. There few things I like about it. I always end up that I keep coming back to Panzer Corps as it plays much nicer, the bugs do grate to much after while in OOB. I noticed my old computer plays OOB just as quick as new computer. I also find once complete level you got not play it for good while as AI to predictable to scripted. Panzer Corps I can buy different things change tactics and with the AI and random dice I can't be sure outcomes or where units are.
As for pacific corps I love see it to, also hope they do British India, Burma campaign as it be fun challenge and was part the pacific. Don't get me wrong I like see the other island hoping campaign too mixed in with other pacific operation (so both Chester W. Nimitz and Douglas MacArthur campaigns . Both England and America thought that Burma campaign as a side show, therefore there be lack of top units, it was very dense jungle for large part so tactics need be adapted and prestige going be tight. That campaign made lot tough infantry units. Hats off to those fought there.

I had the same feeling unfortunately. OOB definitely feels "not polished". Serious performance issues. I also don't like It's graphical style for terrain and units - just feels "wrong" somehow.KeldorKatarn wrote:had high hopes for OOB but honestly... by now I consider it a fail personally. What a pity, not so much games about Pacific Theater.
There are some nice ideas: naval/air battle system, chinese/japanese OOBs, new Winter war campaign. Maybe I should try this game again later, but It would be better to see Pacific Corps.Stephen1024 wrote:OOB got lot potential if they can sort.
Make love, not war.
Re: Thanks to Slitherine and all that helped make Panzer Cor
PzC is great game and Thx to the developers.
OOB is also a good game with solid mechanics like supply system and deployment points, plane landing to fuel, naval battles mechanic etc however as a new game it will have its shortfall none the less which again I comment that the developers are doing their best as I find them responsive to the OOB gamers etc but they do have limited resources for all changes.
The ultimate game would be both PzC and OOB combine and use their best mechanics.
Scenario design in PzC
Grand campaign in PzC
Challenges achievement like Italian AK in PzC
Heroes and special unit features in PzC
Naval mechanic in OOB
Supply system in OOB
Planes landing in OOB
Deployment system in OOB
These are the points that I like most in both games and I would find it perfect if all were to combine into a single game hahahaha Thx again to PzC developers

Re: Thanks to Slitherine and all that helped make Panzer Cor
I agree guys.
I think that given time OOB will become great game. I love some the mechanics like naval and supply. Supply needs transport plane so you can resupply para's or leave para's as non supply needed as taking anything with para's to much work.
I very want see more content both games.
Future beyond these games I hope OOB and Panzer Corps teams get together create new game that a mixture of both games. By getting together and developing new game between them I believe it would make better game and this would be best route for success. OOB supply and naval mixed with panzer corps better AI are examples of how it can better each other.
Also I believe by working together on new game both companys can keep both older games going, this will keep people interested and give time to develop new game. If both companies build 2nd game each it would probably kill both older games, I know I found and others found panzer corps late, I like hex war games played panzer general lot, so if both teams work separately I feel it could loose lot the community.
Working as 1 team they can use all there advantages. Example currently OOB team to build OOB 2 alone need better AI and have lot to sort bug wise, by working as team they could use Panzer corps AI and develop that further. Cost build 2 new games would be what kills older games by working together on one game they can better budget the cost new game and keep both older games in new content. I think that route would also give better support from there customers to.

Re: Thanks to Slitherine and all that helped make Panzer Cor
no offence taken it be boring world if we all liked same things. Maybe having both supply systems like Panzer Corps has 114 or 120 rules just choose one you want use. Having choices does make for more replay value.
Things don't have be this or that choices. I have to admit all forums been in this probably one the best people here are nice and try to balance and work together.

Re: Thanks to Slitherine and all that helped make Panzer Cor
I too love PzC--as do we all, otherwise we wouldn't hang out here--but that's not inconsistent with an interest in new games with new challenges. I started playing OOB on the PC but quit because of the performance issues; now I'm waiting (perhaps in vain) for it to appear on iPad. Even on the basis of that brief experience, I found OOB to be intriguing and challenging. I'd love to see a "PzC 2.0" that would not need to be backwards-compatible and so could depart significantly from the current engine--not because I don't like the current engine, but because I'd like to see what new challenges the devs can throw at me. In the meantime, I eagerly await US Corps and any other new content for the existing and wonderful game.
