OK, since the deadline for armies has been and gone, when can we expect Runners and Riders?

With reference to Matt Haywood's Giant Killer prize can we expect seeding details fairly quickly?

Seeding will be announced when I have some idea of who has entered. I received three lists from players who were not on my initial list of entries over the weekend....

I am still short at least 10 lists

That old chestnut!

How many entries were you expecting? You could always post who has been tardy.

OK then, the two that matter in this thread, (not you Dave), roughly how many entries are there? Also how does the seeding work and what does it mean, as the last time I was seeded in a competition was 2000 IWC and I may be again at Britcon this year. Since you two aren't playing, that should give me an even better seeding :D
TIA

Nah. You don't want to be seeded - see Matt Haywood's giant killer prize!

all seeding does is sometimes give you an easier first round draw.

I put this on the wrong bit,my guess is at least 5/6 of the top 10 arn't playing which puts even me in danger of being seeded, which I think ought to qualify for a prize for the seed who gives away the most points :)
Yes I know Lynda will be seeded well ahead of me but I did say ' give away points'

Yes I know roughly how many entries there are, but I'm not telling ...

Seeding will be done in the usual scientific fashion, probably by Hamster ...

Got that last year, don't think you can win it twice. If you can, 'cos its a different rule set, its worth bombing this year to get a chance next year

Currently Matt's rules preculde previous winners winning again.

In fact Phil I reckon theres a pretty good chance of you being number 1 seed, unless Hammy has a later set of rankings up his sleeve

I do indeed have a new set of rankings lurking, it will be published on the wall at Britcon ;)

I have also done some clever fudging of the FoG rankings to get a better idea of a whole year picture rather than just who happens to have played lots of comps already. Essentially I have doubled the scores of people have only played in one, two or three tournaments and uprated the ratings of those who have played in more than three as if they had played in six. The end result of all this mumbo jumbo is that I have a sensible set of fantasy wargaming prices for FoG and assuming JD doesn't veto things I suspect that seedings will be based on this monumental fudge sundae.

Phill will definitely be seeded but perhaps not number 1.

I can say that at present Bruce, Dave Handley, myself and Nik are not playing.

I can also say that I have received 59 lists so far and am still missing a chunk as advertised.

The current reprobates are:

Lewis Cooper (actually I think I should get this soon)
Adam Worsedale, Dave Allen, Martin van Tol (bit of a central Londone theme here)
Mathew Poole, Stephen Clarke (ditto MAWS)
Ray Duggins (now then Ray...)
Chris Ager, Patrick Dale, Phil Steele (and the SOA can't send lists on time either)
Terry Shaw (ahem, bad Terry)

Terry is umpiring and not playing so whilst blaming Terry for something is almost as justified as blaming you  in this case I think we can let him off that - we'll think of something else though

Also following his sportsmanship in Dublin last year Lewis can never be a reprobate 8) 8) 8)

An average of scores makes me 20th, I think, which is higher than I've ever been. I might even stay sober on Friday and Saturday to keep my average up.

Ah, right, Terry is not playing. That explains no army list then

I know what army Lewis is taking, Trevor didn't send Lewis' list with his own as he wasn't sure if Lewis had the right figures. I have offered to loan the missing troops so I am expecting a list real soon now.

As for the others I am looking for excuses.

Nope Ray, I was the one going mad.

I have a spreadsheet where I am keeping track of which lists are submitted and checked and how many BGs and other stuff. For some reason I didn't enter any details when you sent your xlsx version nor when you sent the xls version.

Sorry if I have cast a dark light on your character.

I am still however waiting on lists from 3 players.
