Units changing color

I have been playing OOB-USMC, Mariana Is. scenario. About 2/3 through the game my units began changing color, from their normal color to yellow. I was able to move and fight the yellow units, and they soemtimes change back to their normal color. What does this color change signify?

Did you drop paras from a transport? That has happened to me but only when I drop paras.

Yes, I did drop paras from a transport, but I can't remember if the color cganges occured before or after the airdrop. Also, the color changes occur with many different types of units (including aircraft), not just the paratroops.

Mine change colors also, plus units disappear, reappear, and the game locks up all the time.

Turning off "Unit Glow" in the performance options menu seems to fix the issue.
