Game doesn't launch on steam

Hello,
I downloaded Order of Battle Pacific a few days ago on Steam and I've played about 8 hours on it. I already love it.

I've just upgraded my OS (MAC OS X) to the latest version. I don't know if this is connected but I cannot launch the game anymore !
I have the OS alert message : could not launch and the application because it's uncomplete or damaged and I have the steam alert : "unable to launch game (unknown error)"...
It's very frustrating as you can imagine.
Can you please help me ?

if that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall it, as upgrading a O/S is a major job, so seems something gone a miss in the upgrade

Thank's for the advice.
unfortunately, I verified the cache, twice, with no effect.
and then I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Thrice now, for no effect whatsoever...
Have you any other idea ?

Some wild guessing. You tried to launch via Steam, shortcut or the app directly from the folder /Users/YourUser/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/Common/ ?
Try allowing apps downloaded from anywhere under Apple Menu -> System Preferences -> Security & Privacy.

Thanks for that - I had exactly the same problem and following Asa's steps on the page listed by Vpaulus all-but fixed it.

The only slight issue was that Steam refused to start at first after doing the changes. In the end I simply moved the folder containing the modified app bundle into the trash and that allowed Steam to start.

Once Steam was running I put the folder back and Steam could launch the game fine.
