2.3.9 AT support

Post by Erik2 »

Shouldn't the Stuart provide AT support to the Philippine infantry?
I seem to remember some graphic notation involved here...

Only AT class units do that.

I see, but would it not make sense that tanks would provide AT-support as well?
The 'only' difference is that they're mobile and this more flexible.

It kind of represents that AT weapons are spread among adjacent units, while tank form their own unit.

It's not really a matter of realism anyway, you can also argue that infantry should provide support to AT gun when it is attacked by infantry, or heavy infantry providing HMG support to adjacent units, ... It would just become a confusing mess. So to keep things simple, only support classes (AT and AA) have this ability.
