support ships in Marines: what are they used for?

Post by t341 »

What is the purpose of all the support ships in several of the US Marines scenarios? They cannot move or repair damaged ships. They just sit there, What am I missing?

I am thinking they are just used to identify the "spawn points" of where purchased reinforcements would arrive? Assuming you mean the static support ships and not the Supply Ships that you place on the map.

Yes they are owned by the AI ally and just used to give some visual indication of where all the position amphibious deployment areas are.
