Clean up save files?

Clean up save files?

Can I clean up my save files? i.e. delete most of the old ones since Polaris Sector likes to put the new save files at the bottom the the list when I press the save button.

Normally I can go to the save directory and "archive" the old files, but when I tried this with Polaris Sector all the save files vanished and I had to put them back.

They use numeration. So, if you delete SAVE1, then SAVE8 will not be visible

yeah that's the problem, after a while my save file list gets very long and I can't just remove the old ones.

I've had some trouble reloading save files with my modded game. But if I mess with task manager, back and forth, it eventually loads up.
