Tanker question
Anybody having trouble making jumps with tankers when any of the escorted ships (corvettes in this case) have less than minimum fuel on board? I can't get my 4000 ton capacity corvette to jump a distance that requires 4260 tons even when accompanied by 5 tankers w/tanker modules and carrying 34000 tons of fuel each! Something just isn't operating like it should...any ideas? Did I miss something?
Re: Tanker question
Tankers can only refuel between transits, they do not allow to jump for a longer distance than your range in one transit.NightReaper wrote:Anybody having trouble making jumps with tankers when any of the escorted ships (corvettes in this case) have less than minimum fuel on board? Re: Tanker question
You must first refuel your ships which are below the minimum amount required for the jump. If they do not have the capacity, design another version of that ship with a larger capacity, then upgrade them.

Re: Tanker question
Ah this answers a question i had. I was indeed wondering wether it was possible to design a ship with 1 fuel module allow afcourse more space for other stuff and using tankers to get these ships over longer distance.
Wouldn't it make sense that they should be able to do so? Whats so different with transit that they can't refule during the process? I guess we need to consider that it's a sort of hyperjump where that isn't possible huh? Makes sense though from a gameplay perspective as otherwise we'd be all building such ships. (and targetting fuelers)

Re: Tanker question
I just have tankers that refuel themselves so they never get stuck anywhere.
Re: Tanker question
I just make fuel depo's. Park a tanker/refueler in a spot with/without escort, and have my ships stopping by just refuel on the way.
