Any reports on Round 3 matches and how they are going?

Argotelu and I have just started Day 1 of our match up in Iron Cross Red Star match up. Too early to tell... :P

I felt bad about Topgun so him and I are playing a match up of Iron Cross Red Star as well and are in Day 2 still too early to tell... :P

With 2 weeks to go I may be feeling the pressure to get these matches going, hopefully we can all stick to this time constraint to complete our matches.

Let me know how it is going, either through pm or post on the forum.

Report from General Riff Raff---Not Cool
Rifraff wrote:What you posted in another thread about opening a game and finding another scenario has just happened to me..

Playing Greece, open the file and I get the 1941 scenario and somehow it has me writing a lot of messages in the game too.

Very strange as I was just discussing with Mkoiki about starting a game of the 1941 scenario and it seems that somehow one of his previous games of it somehow got substituted into our battle for Greece. Well at least that's what I think

Anyhow haven't discussed it with Mkoiki as waiting for his turn to see if he has any clue
You are kidding me.

This is the worst news.

I was hoping mine was an isolated incident.

I am posting it on the thread. I guess you might need to start the scenario again, but that just stinks.

After the bugged scenario. Mkoki and myself have decided that a new paired battle in Greece is the fairest option rather than finishing the battle we still had going and just starting a new one for the other side.

So challenge has been thrown out. Should be very interesting to maybe see some refinements to our tactics as the last battles were very close, and could have gone either way.

Hi, Generals .

I experienced the same issue last week....

This new release of PzCorps really seems to have some serious problems... :?

All Right Competitors It has been another week.

Taking a pulse check to see where everyone is at in their matchups.

Even though I started a week behind I had Friday off and Argotelu and I were able to bust through many days and have reached about the halfway point.

Argotelu has about a 60% chance of winning both match ups. I am doing my best to make him suffer for each and every city but he is slowly weeding me out almost everywhere on the map. My aggressive start, which usually pays off, was countered by his skillfull and systematic crawling back to where he is almost winning both sides of the battle.
However my Soviet side is building strength, unless the momentum switches on a grand scale we will hope to be wrapped up and I will officially be eliminated from the contest.
One of the most unbelievable rounds was where he threw like 8 units at my weakened 4 str KV-1C. He attacked with every thing and pushed it all over the map but ultimately failed at destroying it. Literally used up 8 of its 9 lives.
Topgun and I are about halfway through our match up and I appear to be winning both sides but he is proving very difficult to completely wipe out and is even starting to kick back so I would put it at a 60% chance I will be winning both of those matches. We will then work on trying out a scenario that is now broken with the introduction of the new recon car he details in this post.
http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 21&t=71254

General Riffraff and General Mkoki had to completely restart their Greece battle as their first match up glitched and a 1941 scenario was uploaded instead. :?

Last week General Sylvio reported only being 5 days in and unsure of the outcome. I hope to hear that has progressed a little farther.

General Hollowlolo has reported that General RAG116 has a 75% chance of winning their match up. They hope to wrap up this week.

Do not worry even if I am eliminated I will be finishing up setting up the matches for the 4th and additional rounds until we can crown the Multiplayer Champion 2016. 8)

Votes for the final battle for Winners Circle so far is
1 for Rush to Moscow
2 for Sonnenblume 43

Make you vote heard as I hope to be able to set up Round 4 matches next week.

Round 4 Winners Circle set:

General RAG116 has just reported that he won his match against Hollowlolo

That means Generals RAG116 and Naxor will face off in the ultimate showdown for who emerges at the top of the heap in the Winners Circle.
And since the votes are equal for Rush to Moscow and Sonnenblume 43 and this being the epic battle it is meant to be.

You 2 will be squaring off in both Rush to Moscow and Sonnenblume 43  :o :) :D

So that means one of you sets up a paired game of both Rush to Moscow and Sonnenblume 43 undo off
password
contest

I cannot wait to see who will be crowned Field Marshall. The Champion title will come later as the Less Fortunate Circle needs to finish it's chance to crawl it's way back to a face off for a chance to challenge the winner in the Winners Circle.

I am 4 turns from being eliminated. I am getting beat and it feels terrible, but I am happy to meet so many great players, hopefully I can get more of you interested in signing up for my Soviet Multiplayer Tournament:
http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 21&t=71476

I need a chance to redeem myself.  :P

As for the other Less Fortunate players I have not heard anything so I am not sure when I will be able to set up Round 4 for the remaining Less Fortunate Players, but hopefully the Generals get back to me soon.

Blessings on your Endeavors and as always...Stay Lutheran My Friends.

Round 4:
Winners circle set
General RAG116 has informed me that they are set up ready to roll with password of tournament.

Less Fortunate Circle is not quite ready as I do not have the results for either match up between.
Wolfslair71 versus Sylvio94: Blood and Sand
Riffraff versus Mkoiki77: Greece (my favorite scenario)
So we will need to wait for those to be wrapped up.

That leaves Argotelu vs. Hollowlolo left to face each other in less fortunate Circle
Their match shall be Barbarossa
Let me know if you have any trouble setting up and make the password
contest

Argotelu and I wrapped up this weekend.
He beat me as the Soviets with 5 Main Objectives and in a valiant counterattack with me as the Soviets I was able to capture 5 main Objectives on the very last turn to pull an equal win ratio between us. So it had to be settled with Prestige. I am positive Argotelu won that front as he was able to capture additional secondary objectives and destroy a lot more of my units as the Soviets then I was able to of his.

Very fulfilling ending to a fun match up and just the way I like to be eliminated, with me fighting for every square inch.

Even though I am out of this contest, I am looking forward to seeing how it finishes up.
Please let me know if you are interested in signing up for Soviet Corps Tournament as I have only heard from General Topgun.

I see that you modified your signature. Not fully appropriate though: before the tournament you had something like a 6:1 win ratio.

According to my statistics it is at about 5:1 win ratio, but I lost in the 3rd round of the Tournament.
What do you suggest my signature be?

Lutheran Multiplayer wannabe Champion but got his a** handed to him :?  :P

Nice one. Very True

Ok it has been about 2 weeks and the reports are slowing down.

Last I heard Sylvio appears to be winning in Blood and Sand and I think Mkoki has won in Greece, but his last email was kind of cryptic, so I am looking forward to clarification. Milos get some rest.

I am hoping that RAG116 and Naxor are at least knee deep in the battle. I am looking forward who walks away the winner in those matches.

I also would like to hear if Argotelu and Hollowlolo have started their match up in Barbarossa.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Naxor wrote:We have extremely tough games with rag. Sonnenblume 43 we both won decisive victory on allied side turn 6. Rush to moscow is now turn 10 and looks very even again.
Nice,
That is exactly the kind of Winner Circle battle that I was hoping it would be.

I am posting your update.
It looks like it will come down to who wins on Rush to Moscow first.

Hi, final report from Greece..Draw as final outcome. Germans always win (like in football :))
I win in turn 17 as German and RafRaff win in turn 18...very interesting match...First time that I experienced frontal assault on aux Italians in Albania from the south ...He eventually killed all my aux units (3 infantry and one arty) but the price was very high...I killed them all (8 greek units) but my navy was practically out of battle in remaining 10 turns...in overall, maybe the same tactics but with Yugoslav mountaineers from the north could bring better result(first thoughts after the battle)
I still think that upgrading of Italians into mountaineers and slow advance in the north with Germans (to prevent Sneaky Pit) provides 100% win for Germans . Congrats to RafRaf on excellent matches (basically we played 4 games :))

Word from the Winners Circle Battle
General RAG116 has returned with a report of the final outcome.

Naxor is the winner of the official Winners Circle and based on that has been bestowed the Field Marshall Baton.

Congratulations!!!

The battle is not over.
I am still waiting for results from Round 3 General Wolfslair vs. General Sylvio. It appears General Sylvio has been playing hookie from the battle and may need to be eliminated due to negligent absence, but we shall see.
General Hollowlolo I believe has reported that Argotelu is the winner of their Round 4 match up.
Congratulations General Argotelu, you just beat my mentor.

If I do not hear back from Sylvio by Monday I am going to set up the final 4th round match up between Mkoki vs. Wolfslair so then we can move on to the round 5 match ups so Naxor is not sitting with his cheese in the wind.

Naxor let me know if you would like another match up with me while you are waiting, as I would like another opportunity to take on the champ.
If you do just set it up and send me a private message with the password so I can join.

I will look for it on Saturday when I get back from my family vacation.
We are going on a retreat with the whole family surrounded by a bunch of other homeschooling Lutherans, should be a great time.
We have a bet that we will be the largest family, but we shall see.
It will be our first such retreat.

Blessings on everyones Weekend.

Ok I have been patient and I hate to do it but we must move forward.
General Wolfslair wins by default, General Sylvio is eliminated.

Last Round 4 match up should be a quick one as I am certain Wolfslair is eager as always and General Mkoki is always spoiling for a fight.

Last Round 4 Match up will be
Wolfslair vs. Mkoki in Spoils of War

Wolfslair will need to set it up as Mkoki does not have the vanilla campaign. :?

Round 5 will have an interesting potpourri of match ups since we will have 3 remaining less fortunate candidates after Round 4, so I will do a set up of 3 matches where each player will fight the other in a paired game after which we will we will either have 1 final winner of The Less Fortunate Circle or we will end up with everyone being eliminated in a Battle Royale for the ages. :o

If after Round 5 we have an ultimate winner of the less fortunate circle, then Round 6 we will be a final match up between that winner and Field Marshall Naxor in a 2 different scenarios to be declared the 2016 Multiplayer Champion!!!

Let me know if there are any more takers for the Soviet Multiplayer tournament I am trying to set up for May.

I only have three confirmed participants, and that seems...light. :?

I look forward to the reports.
