And here are some more references for the Romainian R35 45mm conversions. I think these little tanks are so cool. Now that I have done the Italians and some other sidelines, the Stugs III and IV are next. Already got a big file started.

These are great - from the concrete Stugs through the Italian vehicles and to the Romanian/French/Russian hybrids.

If you ever have any free time (OK, not very likely), some paper French tanks - Somua S40, Char B 40 and one of the Char G1s would add that little extra to my French Allied corps.

I can't email through a beer, but the intent is there.

Thanks Captain Jack..........I appreciate it much. Glad you like the units. I will see what references I can find on these tanks you are mentioning. I am not real knowledgeable about French tanks, but I like working on unusual units.
Bear with me a bit while work a bit more on my StuG III files (which include StuG IV and Panzer III), then I will focus on the "Frenchies".

Here is a Mediafire link to a set of new skins and thumbs I have made for German Panzers and Italian armor. There are examples posted in the thread I have skinned with the various patterns and they are designated by number or title

German and Italian Skins and Thumbnails........

http://www.mediafire.com/download/xu2sr ... 283%29.zip

PS: If you notice on the StuG III in #2 and StuG III #4 there are Ostketten or WinterKetten tracks. There will be a fairly large group of StuG tanks in various patterns coming soon. There will of course be "Winterized" Stugs, etc. Not a big detail perhaps to most players, but noticeable to some of us who appreciate details on these little units.

I must say I am happy to finally grab those Italian tanks but those hybrid little tanks makes me even more happy :). Not to mention those new camos.....

Thanks again and keep your superlative work going on!.

I know a few of you check my thread out occasionally and I haven't been on it for a few days. Both of my computers are down and I am getting them serviced now. I have some large files on each of new units, armor and trucks. So when I get them back, I will be posting these units on the thread. I had wanted to finish the StuG III's this weekend, but that computer went down on me too. I hope those A**Holes who put virus's on the internet get what's deservedly coming to them one day.

Thanks Akkula, Yes Avast is the next step once everything is put back in place.
In the meantime, I thought I would post a little genuine image from the Eastern Front about a little village I have never heard of............of course the name is probably appropriate to the Germans, but they seemed to be heading in the wrong direction in the photo. :)
Just FYI Gomel (Belarus) is the closest big town to Chernobyl (Ukraine).

Hi guys, I got some bad news today on my PC with all the Stug units I had been working on for the past two months. Long story short, the computer got a virus, it has two hard drives, one with nothing but PZC stuff and the other is the main operating system which is what I use when I am making stuff. That is the drive that got messed up. The idiot who was so tech savvy that was supposed to save everything and fix the computer managed to lose it all. The way he managed to do it is just pure stupidity and carelessness and it cost me, dearly, two months work.
I got my money back and profuse apologies with hung in shame heads, but it doesn't make it any better. I would rather have had the files back on my PC.
I had Stug III, Stug IV, Panzer III all mostly finished when this happened. I lost a lot of other stuff too like templates and detail templates. So I will start again to make them, who knows maybe I can make them better this time. I have to get over of being so extremely pissed off about it first, then I can concentrate, I hope. Right now I am so mad that I don't know what to say or do.

Oh, Flak... I am so, so, sorry to learn about that "accident" caused by someone's stupidity... Yes, I suppose you will have to let pass some time to cool off, and then start it all over.

Again, I am sorry... On the other hand I have a lot of your original, unmodified stuff you were uploading here, so if you need something you lost, may be I have it. Or if you prefer I can put everything in a compressed .rar file and upload to a sendspace link for you t download.

Greetings.

Uh, sorry flak, as Guille says I hope you cool off soon. Damn viruses! and that fool.... no words.
Take it easy, there is nothing you can do now but to keep your creativity going on :D

Just as Guille, if you need some pack, icon or whatever you have lost dont hesitate to ask us.

Best regards.

On a second though, may be it is a good time for all of usto make some security work (just the pain old backup). I will prepare a compressed file with all mi work and upload it to sendspace, then I will send the links to you (Flak, Akkula) for you (if you want and have the HD space) to download and keep as a safe backup. May be we all can take similar measures...

Greetings to you, my friends!

Thank you fellow soldats for the words and offers. I would naturally welcome any links with good stuff. I have LOTS of HD space, I built the computers like that so they are WAY over what regular computers are in terms of HD space. I did this knowing what a "pack rat" I am to saving every scrap of stuff even if considered "junk".

As for the situation with the units I lost with the virus, luckily they are only (and that is ONLY  ) what units I had done for February and March on the Stugs, etc. I still have my other files, all of them mostly I think. I usually save everything onto a seperate backup HD (external) and also on the dedictated PZC HD in each of my computers. And I save from both computers identical stuff, so it's duplicated at least twice. The thing is that I was just a couple of days away from finishing them and there are/were a lot of variations. I was using the one computer I had that was without issues while the main one is still in the shop, so I did not have my normal systems available to make sure I did not lose anything.

The problem was that I usually don't save the stuff until I am done with it on the main operating system (C Drive in my computers). Panzer Corps has its own dedicated hard drive in each computer (Beast and Beast 2). But I will do things differently going forward and soon I expect to have both of them up and running.

I have a tech savvy fellow working on getting the PNG images uncorrupted, if that can be done, it will make a big difference. The problem is that the files have over 7,900 images with PNG format. Not all of those are from February and March obviously, but to find the ones in those months, I will have to be able to uncorrupt all those images to find the ones I want/need. If all else fails, I will just begin again. I like making units and at this rate I will not run out of projects. :)

I am back in the unit icon making business after a virus bomb hit my factory. Still working through some problems, but the tools are working again with some salvaged files. So I put up three versions of the venerable StuG IIIG early/mid production model in slight modified configurations. All of them have track armor on the lower hull inside the tracks, upper hull sides and on the front of the hull. One has just a "cargo box" on the rear deck and one has Jerry cans and a "cargo box". I have many variations of boxes and jerry cans that can be put on a deck and I plan on making at least four or five variations of "battle damaged" side schurtzen missing in part(s) and patterns to make the StuG's look different. If you have one really good StuG unit with these icons in the game, you will know what it looks like and be able to recognize it (that's my plan anyway).

I have added muzzle brakes to the barrels per suggestion of Guille and it was a good suggestion. I used ASUSER's JagdPanther muzzle brakes as they are clear and sharp. 88mm vs 75mm scale in this size is not of any consequence to me.

There will be a group of Stug III in A, B, E, F (with rebuild units and late version saukopf mantlet) & G (early/mid/late in 2 platoons), StuH 42 (on F hull and on G hull) as well as versions of StuG IV's. I will also include the Fictional StuG IIIH I made with the examples posted earlier in this thread. I will also rework the Finnish Stugs and put muzzle brakes on them after I finish this German set.

The thought occurred to me  that for the sake of authenticity, StuG's carrying a load of Jerry Cans into battle might not be very prototypical. They add details and distinguishing characteristics to the units, but what do the players of PzC think of putting Jerry Cans on the backs of StuG's? Should I or should I not put them on the StuG's? LMK before I make a bunch of these and they look ridiculous

I like the idea of having a special battle damaged icon for a hero stug. It would be easy to implement for a reward unit or other unit gifted during a scenario. For an existing unit it could probably be done using a unit upgrade script in a bonus scenario or by creating a set of hero units (Stug 3B hero 1, Stug 3B hero 2, etc) which have the same cost and stats as the normal Stug but with cooler icons so you can upgrade to them.

Drive your Stug into the cement factory hex and drive out the following turn with a concrete-armoured one. Awesome!

Questions for the members about the units I am reworking.

I am in the midst of making masks for a large group of StuG and Panzer III (all versions) units. This includes NEW FINNISH StuG's (1943 & 1944) and skins, early, mid, late versions of StuG IIIG, rebuilt or converted StuG's (from Panzer Schools and the salvage StuG's from the battlefield), StuG's A, B, C, E, F8 and several versions of Stu42 (both on F and G chassis). It is a large group, probably over 60 units total.

My question to you all is................would you rather that I complete all the masks and the few final variations (most are done) and post them in a link on MediaFire, or would you prefer me to break them down into several MediaFire links? There is really not a good way to post versions of ALL of them on the forum as they would take up so much space and I don't think people would want to see page after page of stuff. I can post them all if it is desired, four to a group, three groups to a posting. But that is lots of posts, maybe needless for the forum.

Some people want only a few units to pick from, some may want a large selection. I don't know. My preference is obviously to have a large pool of varied units so that I can tell them apart on the screen. That is the reason I make a large group of any particular unit I make or rework.
