Oddity and Question

Been playing a couple of hours. I'm making a few notes for a Bigger Comment later, but I have one question now. There are several references in tooltips to a "Command" key. What is that? My keyboard has no Command key. Is that a European thing?

On the main galaxy screen there is an icon in the lower left that is supposed to rotate the galaxy. When you hover over it part of the instruction is to use the "Cmd" key. There is no such thing on my keyboard. Also, one would assume that the "Rotate" icon would rotate the map. It does not.

I ran into the CMD or COMMAND notation somewhere else as well, cannot remember where.
