Problem

Post by msu7151 »

When I attempt to play Order of Battle: Pacific, I first get the screen that says it needs to install Microsoft Direct X. That takes about 2 minutes. Then the game Order of Battle: Morning sun comes up. What gives? I purchased Pacific but can't pull it up.

Have you outdated the game? What happens if you press Play? Won't you be able to play Pacific Campaign?

No. As I stated, Morning Sun comes up. Pacific itself never appears and can't be played. What can I do? By the way, how can I outdate the game when I just purchased it less than a week ago?

It's normal for the title in the launcher to read "Order of Battle: Morning Sun". 'Morning Sun' is additional content for Order of Battle: Pacific - if you click 'Play Order of Battle' in the launcher, the base game should launch and the original Pacific campaigns should be available in the Single Player menu. The 'Morning Sun' update introduced a purchaseable additional DLC campaign, but the rest of the content introduced in the update (mainly new unit types dating to the earlier time period covered by the new campaign) is available in the base game for free.

Now when I pull up Order of Battle: Pacific (which I purchased) it says that it is a beta. Is it? Will it disappear when the beta runs out?

Hi msu7151, did you have a beta version installed already when you installed the game?

You access Morning Sun through the single player option on the OOB main menu.

I find Morning Sun on the menu but it says, Purchase Content. So, no game.

Do the following:

1. Uninstall the game
2. Rename the folder named "Order of Battle - Pacific" as "_ Order of Battle - Pacific" in the Windows documents folder:
...\Documents\My Games
3. Reinstall the game
4. Download and install the last game update from the link below:
http://ftp.us.matrixgames.com/pub/Order ... p-v225.zip
5. Unzip the downloaded file and run the extracted file to update the game.
6. Install Morning Sun
