I clicked on a unit in turn 2 to refuel it - it disappeared.
I killed an enemy unit, it did 1 damage to a 4 strength unit and that unit disappeared.
turn 3 - I had like 3 units left, and the were many more units on my side on turn 2.
?

I don`t know how to help you. But this is the second time I read about disappearing/invisible units.
Maybe you should post your problem in support forum.

They should be transferred to your reserve rather than vanished completely.
A mini-spoiler (not very spoily, but stop now if you don't like tips).
The area of map your units can work in shrinks from time to time in Stalingrad. The marked hexes next to the coloured border are exit hexes. You can move units away from them away but only if you move as your first action. Any other action sees you disappear (through the tunnels) back into the reserve. This is good if you have a damaged unit that you want to retire safely, but very annoying if a critical unit for your defence disappears.
I wasn't very impressed when it started affecting me, but now I'm thinking that if you're defending a city and losing ground, you would lose contact with key units and struggle to constantly keep some form of defensive structure. Looked at like this it is probably a good way of representing the confusion and disorganisation.
There is a later scenario where you have tunnels which can only be used by certain types of units (as it says in the briefing). I tried sending down dome other units and they vanished forever. Read the briefing, read it again carefully, and remember that it means exactly what it says, not approximately what it says. I can't say more without giving away a catch.

Tunnels?
What Stalingrad scenario are we talking about? I`ve played GC a few times now but didn`t notice any tunnels.
Maybe I`ve never played that scenario yet.

Sorry for any confusion. I've been playing Soviet Corps and forgot about the other one.
Re: Battle of Stalingrad - what is going on?
...and man - BIG tunnels they have indeed in Stalingrad! You could move a whole bunch of KV tanks through the sewers there... (sorry for the pun - while the idea was nice, I'm just not a fan of how it was implemented in Soviet Corps)BiteNibbleChomp wrote:Soviet Corps Stalingrad is the one with tunnels.

Re: Battle of Stalingrad - what is going on?
Is there anywhere that all these weird new 'things' are detailed and explained? It's a game-quiting shock for me, when things, that have been REGULAR for years and years, are suddenly changed beyond recognition; like planes not refueling NEXT to an airbase, units not healing in cites, disappearing units, being told to pull back (ignored it totally) TWO moves before a Triumph victory?, etc. (I always thought Stalin was a few cards short of a full deck...we're winning - retreat! :\ )
Fog of war is one thing, but 'ambushing' players with new ideas and quirky game-play is very confusing for this old veteran. Where is all this detailed?
Thanks!
