Hello,
I make a scenario in France (French against german) and it seems that the french tank Somua S 35, the best of france with B1-bis doesnt worth anything in this game.
All my tanks are destryoed doing nothing interesting? How must be used these tanks in the game? Is it the fact that their is just one man in the turret so the tank never do anything??
How to use such a tank in the game??? Its very difficult to win with french army in the game. A challenge!!

The best seems to play german than french isn't it? French are just in the game to able english people to use german and win with it seems! I am wrong but i think that.

There are many things about the BA series I like, but their handling of the French isn't one of them. Despite popular opinion, the French army in 1940 wasn't a bad force. It did have some weaknesses, but so did all the other armed forces. IMHO, the French high command mishandled their direction of the war (as did the Brits) and had an outdated and incomplete doctrine. You could argue that the designers have chosen to simulate that by crippling the French in other ways in the game, but I'm not sure that is really the case. The reality is that at the scale this game functions the French were pretty much equal to the Germans.* Unfortunately the game doesn't do justice to this....
Maybe I'll get the Pc version and design some good French and British scenarios, but for now I have to admit to being as unhappy as you. Don't get me wrong, I love this series. But I've also purchased everything they've put out in the hope of being financially supportive and now that the series has been abandoned I wonder if I should've spent my money elsewhere.
*- I'll elaborate here. I think it was Guderian who noted that tank-for-tank the French were superior but German tactics and doctrine allowed them to offset these advantages. This is what I'm getting at. The game sims the machines as inferior (at least it seems to IMHO) when it was the doctrine and, as an extension, how those machines were employed, that was the problem.

You are correct that the French stats are designed to include their poorer CnC, tactics, etc. Otherwise the France campaign would be the French forces romping to victory

The French did lose the Battle of France in a relatively short time period for a number of reasons. The French tank design, for instance, if I recall correctly, meant that they had a much lower rate of fire than the Germans since the commander also had to fire the main gun.
The Panhard 178 armored car is arguably better than the 8-Rad or Panzer I in game, maybe even the Panzer II. The R-35 is junk but still outmatches the Panzer I and II. The Souma S-35 is very useful but limited by the rate of fire. The Char Bis is available in very small numbers from what I've seen and also more than a match for the German tanks.
Guess it just comes down to tactics and use of what you have. That's just my two cents though haha.
