+1 Range on 85mm M1939

I've got a range hero on this unit and it works properly in AA mode (increase from 3 to 4) but does not increase the range in AT mode (should fire from range 2)? I've got a range hero once on an 88mm German AA/AT and there it worked in both modes. Intentionally dropped from M1939 in AT mode?

Erm, if you got a +1 range hero with an 8.8 it *shouldn't* affect the firing range for the AT mode. That would be a bug.

The M1939 is the one that is working proper, AA should get +1 range, AT mode shouldn't iirc.

Range heroes work only when the base range greater than zero. So for a switchable unit like AA/AT (including the German 88), a range hero increases range for AA mode, where the base range is greater than zero, but not for AT mode, where the base range is zero. A movement hero, by contrast, works in both modes, which may be what you had on that 88--the effect would have been similar to a "dual mode range hero," if such a thing existed.

OK, I figured it out - I had a 2 range 88mm in the SS-GTPG mode... I guess someone re-worked it there. I must say that the 88mm which can fire from a distance like arty was awesome, maybe too awesome. However, if idiotic heroes like spotting and defense on towed arty should be allowed, maybe this should be too. When I got the +1 range on the M1939, I figured "Prohorovka here we come!"
