Can't pickup objectives?

Maybe I just don't know how to do this and it is something simple I am missing.

US Campaign #2 , gotta get the documents and secondary objective is to kill Ludwig. So I have moved a leader, a support, a recon and a fire unit onto the documents and nothing happens. Play out the all 9 turns and the mission always fails. No one seems to be picking them up.

I have killed Ludwig various times in all these attempts and sometimes at the end I get the points for killing him and other times I don't, even though he is dead.

So what am I missing about picking up objectives and objects?

Perhaps there is a comprehensive manual with the info I am missing.

Just tried again, this is the end of Turn 7. I just hit proceed on the rest of the game and ended as the last image below. Everyone on the German side was dead except one fire unit.




I didn't complete any objective somehow.

So if I can't complete this mission I can't continue with the campaign right?

We didn't receive your bug report. Have you tried pressing CTRL+R during the game? This way we can analyze what's wrong in your game state.
(If you killed that Recon unit too, you would have won. Killing all enemy units is one of the ways to win the game (you're awarded the main objective)).

Guess I will have to try again and submit a report from inside the game. I figured screenshots and an explanation was good enough.

it's fine, but a in game report send what you see straight to them with a report as well, so they have the shot and screen and report so more details so can fix the issue quicker, kind of a mini save if you like

We finally managed to understand the problem with your scenario: basically in some scenarios you're not awarded the victory if you complete the mission in the "bonus" turns given to you because you're playing with the "easy" mode.

We're sorry for the inconvenience: we corrected the problem and you will be finally able to finish this mission after the next patch. In the meantime you can try finishing the mission in "Major" mode (or before the 6th turn).

I have the same problem with the scenario (commonwealth) with Julie's purse. Julie picks (or another team) it up and takes it to the objective area but I can never win. There are most one or two Germans still alive. How do you win the scenario? I have played it many times but always get a defeat.

This problem should be solved in the current open beta version (1.34).

Right now, from steam only, following the instructions here.
You'll find a lot of new things in 1.34, such as the Action Cards and improvements to stability and to the editor.

It's a temporary workaround: we're close to releasing the new version in the main branch, in Slitherine version too.
