Response from developers regarding A.I improvements ?

Post by KarlXII »

It would be nice to get an official answer from the developers if they have in their upcoming plans anything that will address the reported A.I problems or if it will only be new DLC:s ?

I assume by "just new DLCs" you mean "just new scenarios and units" - which is certainly not the case. Every update includes (or is planned to include) new features, bug fixes, balance changes, AI & performance improvements.

While I can't say what exactly will be added when, the plan for 2016 is to release a major update every couple of months.

Thanks for replying. Good to hear because so far I have not seen any AI improvements since release date that has been reported both here, at matrix forums and at the Steam forum.

Hi Karl, every release so far has had some form of AI improvement, although it's all incremental improvements, there's nothing revolutionary.

Ok, good. I must have missed them in the patch notes then. I really hope you will add efforts to trying to improve the A.I before releasing new campaigns, scenarios and units. Until then, the game is on hold for single player mode for me.

As just new to the Order of Battle Series....I just hope the Developers continue to add improvements over time. So we the buyers/players do get some long term value for the money we spend. And just a comment if I might? Are there more scenarios that are available via multi-player than single player mode? If so then I respectfully request that every scenario be made available for both modes of play. And like some comments from others...would love to see some purely naval battles added like the one for the Santa Cruz battles! Thanks and do keep up improving the game play.

There are lots of custom scenarios here (Santa Cruz is available...):

Most are multiplayer cause they're much faster to create than programming the AI.
