Wuhan time constaints

I am enjoying the game tremendously, but the Wuhan scenario seems unfair. 50 moves does not seem to be nearly enough to complete the mission. What is the strategy here? Is there some way to release the northern troops early? I need help. Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

Belive me!! It is possible. I started a few times. At least I won the battle with all second bojective!! You must divide proportionately force to achive two MAIN points.

Without giving too much away: don't get the bulk of your forces bogged down when taking the most southern objective in the eastern part of the map. Might be worth to just isolate and slowly reduce it, while your main force moves on. Of course you still need to take it, but there's no need to hurry there.

I played this one a lot during beta testing. First time through I beat it on the 50th turn. There after between 40-45 turns. I played on difficulty level 3.

It usually took 20 some turns to kill the partisans and then I immediately sent all those units west. And every turn I used two tactical and one strategic bomber. ALWAYS pick a useful target for them to attack.

Don't make attacks with your ground units without softening up the enemy units. I mean EVERY time attack with plane or artillery first even if the odds look in your favor. Because you will invariably lose one or two strength points if you don't. And you will run out of Resource points fast. I always use elite reinforcements without exception.

And the northern troops can get cut off very easily so they spend most of their time just protecting themselves. The one big use for them is it keeps some Chinese troops off your units that are trying to break through to Wuhun.
