Tried copying this game to D: drive. Same error Tried everything I could think of and all advice on these posts I had deleted the old PzC folders quite a while ago. Nothing but CRC errors. Using Windows 10. Fix it!

Trythis solution, it worked for me:BevanLawson wrote:Tried copying this game to D: drive. Same error Tried everything I could think of and all advice on these posts I had deleted the old PzC folders quite a while ago. Nothing but CRC errors. Using Windows 10. Fix it!
1. install soviet corps to the default: C:\Program Files... (you have no choice here, as you found out)
2. copy & replace those newly installed files form C:\Program Files... to your already existing Panzer Corps Directory (example: D:\games\panzercorps) (make a BackupCopy of the Directory before)
3. Prompt will ask you if folders with same name should be integrated and files replaced. Say Yes for all.
4. Run the Panzercorps.exe located in the D:\ Location (old Shortcut probaly will not work, did not for me)
5. Defend the Motherland! Comerade Stalin does not care for any Installationproblem excuses!

Still fighting with it. No luck at all. Now my original PzC gives the same CRC error. Bah!
Re: Panzer Corps: Soviet Corps is released! With a Twitch St
It works so far... i only noticed that the Trains from Murmansk now sound like Trucks...
Re: Panzer Corps: Soviet Corps is released! With a Twitch St
I start to feel like playing 'Hearts of Iron 3'. Only with the difference that I cant even play 'Soviet Corps' thanks to the CRC error.
The only Advantage is that Hearts of Iron fucks you up much later so you spare the time playing for nothing since you cant play at all ...
No idea whats better.
But then it was funny to see the AI bug abuse the Player. Since the Germans kept Paris under siege for endless years I couldnt invade France with my superior force since my armies tried to draw supplies from Paris which never made it past the German siege ...

Same CRC issue here. Will not copy and paste files to another folder. That just polutes my computer, registry or worse can create issues with my already installed Panzer Corps games. Will rather wait for the official bug fix. Hope it comes sooner rather than later!

Re: Panzer Corps: Soviet Corps is released! With a Twitch St
I can't install the game. Soviet Corps is my first Panzer Corps game, so I don't think I'm dealing with a location issue as others have posted.
I get the following error when trying to install:
"Encountered a sharing violation while accessing c:\Program Files(x86)\slitherine\Panzer Corps\redist\directx_June2010_redist\Apr2006_d3dx9_30_x64.cab."
I also got roughly the same error with a different cab:
"Apr2006_XACT_x64.cab"

That's the usual message that you receive when a 3rd party program (like an anti-virus,anti-malware, etc.) is interfering with the game installation.SailingGuy wrote:

Check your Internet security programs or install the game with Windows running in safe mode.

You have a corrupted game installation.bakis12 wrote:I keep getting CRC check failed when I hit play.Anyone have an answer?
Uninstall all your Panzer Corps games and reinstall them again.

Re: Panzer Corps: Soviet Corps is released! With a Twitch St
I have been playing Panzer corps with no problem it's only since I installed the new soviet corps.I already uninstalled and then installed it again, but the same thing keeps happening.
Re: Panzer Corps: Soviet Corps is released! With a Twitch St
You must ensure that Soviet Corps is installing in the exact same folder as the other Panzer Corps games.bakis12 wrote:I have been playing Panzer corps with no problem it's only since I installed the new soviet corps.I already uninstalled and then installed it again, but the same thing keeps happening.
If after doing this you still receive CRC error messages, then you'll really need to uninstall all your Panzer Corps games and reinstall them.
Re: Panzer Corps: Soviet Corps is released! With a Twitch St
I ran into similar issues with Soviet Corps (SC) but managed to solve them, my main tip for now is to try and run the 1.25 update patch manually, it solved all my problems. If you want to try it, you can get it here: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 21&t=70424
It might be helpful to know my backstory to compare it with your own troubles:
Pre-SC, I started off with a working PzC install on my E: drive, all the bells and whistles (1.24, all DLC/ AK / AC).
The first SC installer put the game on my C: drive, and it wouldn't run but the original PzC/AK/AC still worked fine. Than I made a mistake: I de-installed SC, and this caused my base installation to no longer work, although all the files were still there. Registry issue I guess. The new SC installer was released and I ran it hoping the original PzC would work again. It didn't, SC would install and work fine but the original was no longer detected by the updater: my installation could not longer be detected, which means I could not run the updater as well.
So I decided to reinstall everything tonight to be sure, which wasn't a big deal for me, because I have all the installer files/codes available backed up on another drive. Everything installed fine (and in the correct folders), and I ran PzC after every step to check for errors, but after installing SC suddenly I could only use the SC and AC shortcuts; running the default PzC shortcut or the 'autorun.exe' directly resulted in the error: "Failed to extract project file to memory."
So I just manually ran the separate 1.25 update file, and after that everything works fine so far.
So maybe try that one first before you reinstall everything.

Thanks for the help.I uninstalled everything but I can't re-install because I don't have the disc's or code's here with me(didn't think it through).I can re-install PZr Corp Soviet but that's the only one right now.
