Battle Animations A Lot Slower

I haven't had it before the DLC. Now, battles between units take a long amount of time (6-7 secs for each fight). What might cause this?

Maybe the sound...
Rename the Audio folder as _Audio, and check if the animations are quicker.

That way no sounds comes in-game.

Because if it is we have then established the cause, as this will tell if it's related with your sound drivers and/or audio codecs or not.

I get it, in that case it seems a little bit faster without audio on. However I must point it there were no such thing before the Soviet Corps, what might cause this?

Which version were you playing before this one 1.25?
There were no changes in the engine from 1.24 to 1.25. The only big change was on 1.24 with the sound system.
When you say a little bit faster is as it was before?

After a clean re-install without mods, the game seemingly runs smoother. Can mods have anything to do with this?

If you install the mods again, and once again you experience the slow down, I will say yes.

After a while I got the problem back again. Unrelated to mods. Also thanks for trying to help, much appreciated.
