Changes from EA1.9 to EA2

I decided to make a new list with all issues I experienced in one place instead of different places in the forum. Hope you can give your support, your opinion or solution and your confirmation issue by issue.

My system: Asus motherboard P5Q, Intel Dual Core2, 8GB, 2GB AMD R7 Crimson driver 16.1.1 (official from AMD site), VIA HD Windows 10 driver 60.11.800 (6/15/2015 official from VIA site), Windows 10 64bit OS, no gamepad, AVG antivirus disabled, Steam overlay disabled, no other programs running in background.

Compared changes from version EA1.9 to EA2 open beta

Game options selected: Screen resolution 1680x1050, fullscreen, FSAA 0x, Music 80%, Sound 100%, UI scale medium, Enable tips, Both speed x1.
Realm chosen: Dragonhold, Conquest campaign.

- Main menu animated background is now very low resolution compared to version EA1.9. Game title text very low resolution. In EA1.9 both are very smooth and clear.

- Very loud and annoying buzz in background music start directly when music starts playing in main menu and continues in all music tracks while in main menu, campaign map or tactical battle.

- Game crash (always) on exit with System.NullReferenceException caused by Dragonogg.dll message.

- All background soundeffects (for example wind, birds) in campaign map and tactical battles are missing. Sound from clicking menu is available.

- Text in upper left Realm selection menu on campaign map before start is semi transparant on brown background and hard to read.

- While trade event pops up and you decide to make a counter offer the counter offer is not possible to make because the trade offer buttons will not work except for the cancel button.

- In trade menu sometimes the lump trade items from the opponent player won't show up while they have trade items of that category available.

- In political map mode there are three buttons. Only one of them (the trade offer button) is embossed. This looks inconsistent.

- In political map mode mouseover info on any of the three buttons doesn't work on 50% of the provinces. I don't know what causes this but I think it has to do when they are too close to fort or capital icons in the background because that is the mouseover info showing.

- Need option to minimize event windows with trade offers appearing on start turn to review the status of the realms offering you to trade before you decide to accept or ignore. The event screen now covers the whole screen so it's not even possible to find the realm on your map when they want to trade.

- In Economy map mode economy buttons don't have any mouseover info.

- Harbours don't have any mouseover info or info on realm/province info card.

- In Relation map mode the color code needs absolute change. There is no difference too see between three almost identical colors of green for calm/cordial or favorable relation mode and there is no other way to see those relations with text/mouse over info or in the realm info card.

- New realm name text is hard to read (especially in smaller provinces) because of green/orange/brown color on green/orange/brown color on background. Also text is now vertical and the font is not different anymore from the city/province font. A bad design choice imo. In EA1.9 the realm names were bold, horizontal and grey.

- Resources mouseover info don't work when resources are close to capital/fort or other realm icons.

- Info menu on the right side panel for magic panel does not appear if (for new players by accident) one province is pinned on the right panel.

- All gameplay tips in campaign map are missing while tips are enabled in Gameplay options menu. This also happened on a fresh install and a fresh game.

- If unit selected for deploy on campaign map is put on a spot where already a unit is stationed the unit is not deployed but the unit already there is selected instead. You can only deploy on empty space now.

- There is no indication in game where your spies/diplomats are on the map and if you do not select a province in the agents menu you don't get an overview of your agents except on the left side on their unit icons.

- All text on right side selection tab menu's is semi transparant now on a brown background and hard to read. Except for the Province/Army menu and the Rankings list menu because there the text is bold and clear.

- The four buttons on the lower right have inconsistent art like the buttons in the diplomacy screen. Only one of them is embossed (the purchase army button).

- In purchase army screen the Marketplace button sometimes covers the unit info stats from the comparing unit because of bad placement in medium and large UI scale. In large UI scale the lower right purchase/cancel button covers the selected unit stats as well.

- The text in the news info button upper left in the campaign map (the one with the red flag and golden horn) is semi transparant on a brown background an hard to read.

- In tactical battle all enemy units are visible while deployment phase starts. In EA1.9 only the tokens were visible in a fog of war.

- All unit flags on top of the unit tokens missing the border art which makes them look cheap and unproffesional. In EA1.9 they all had a golden/silver border (sorry can't remember the exact color).

- Flags on VP have a border but are way to big compared to the rest of the game and cover almost the whole hex. When unit flag is over the VP flag it really looks like a mess. Unit token with small flag without border over big flag with border over VP star over terrain image.

- All terrain mouseover info in tactical battle is missing.

- Battle log/history is missing.

- Cannot select/deselect the info button top left anymore in tactical battle.

- Need shortcut for next/previous unit.

- Black border around the cricle unit token in tactical battle isn't anti aliased well which looks ugly and cheap compared to the rest of the game.

- In tactical battle like in the rest of the game all gameplay info screens are missing while they are enabled in Gameplay options.

- In tactical battle it's not possible to zoom in enough anymore to enjoy unit token art. The zoom level is heavenly reduced compared to EA1.9

- In tactical battle in the initiative bar you can't select units anymore and you can't bring up the unit info card anymore.

- In tactical battles status icons like "shield wall" pop up above the unit tokens are made much smaller and not possible to see the difference between them anymore. Also speed of the icons is set to max speed always so they dissapear from the screen before you regonize them.

- In initiative bar unit icons are way too small or the bar is too large. There is plenty of blank space (around 3/4 of the space) in the bar to fill it with the nice unit token art. You cannot see difference anymore between units in this bar. The tokens are so small that the art looked merged and very low resolution.

- Hero card graphic is covered now by the initiative bar and only visibile when mouse over. The card and the text on the card is made smaller compared to EA1.9 and hard to read.

- VP don't have any mouse over info.

- In deployment phase it's not possible to select your own units or enemy units anymore to bring up the unit info card on the right side.

- When combat starts after deployment phase, the "remaining turn" button covers the game "settings" button which makes it impossible to close the game or change settings while in combat.

- When clicking an enemy unit to watch their stats the enemy unit card is not pinned to the screen anymore which makes it impossible to review their stats or mouseover their skills in the unit card.

- The red border around the hexes around the unit to indicate his movement is missing.

- The grey color of the hex within the movement range from the selected unit is changed to green/orange/brown on green terrain which makes it impossible to see the difference.

- The unit attack and unit movement indicator icons on the lower left and lower right of the unit token are missing.

- The select next/previous unit buttons lower left are too close to the edge of the screen which cause scrolling. Also the buttons are unresponsive most of the time you have to click them multiple times. When they work they do not memorize your last selected unit and always start from the beginning and also select all units which moved an/or attacked already.

- The graphics overlay on unit token indicating that the unit already has moved this turn like in EA1.9 is missing. All units remain the same color always.

- Speed settings for tactical battle doesn't work. It doesn't make any sense if you choose speed 1 or speed 5 the battle always happens in high speed. Speed is always set to max whatever you choose.

- Screen is not centered anymore on selected unit. Screen does not center anymore on defending or attacking unit, neither at your own turn or the opponent turn which makes the full speed battle without combat log and without setting to set speed hard to follow. In EA1.9 screen always centered to where the attack took place.

- Health bar only appears when unit is damaged which make it hard to get an overview. Also healthbar in EA1.9 was nice art with black line/border around the bar in EA2 it's just a red bar without borders.

- Morale bars are missing.

- Shades and half shades overlay on unit tokens when moved but not attacked or when loosing morale or other stats is missing.

- All text info when unit get's traits in battle or for example become "uncertain" etc is missing.

- Health numbers showing damage made in attack in the yellow token on top of the unit which takes damage is moved so fast from your screen you can't see what happened.

- Undo button in tactical battle is missing.

- The four map modes buttons are replaced outside the minimap what is not an improvement. The map modes are shown on the main map instead of the minimap. Why not both? The minimap is almost obsolete now.

- In EA1.9 rankings menu was displayed a full list of different rankings. Now in EA2 you need to scroll left and right to see them what imo is not an improvement either.

- When a province is pinned on the right side of the screen when in normal map mode, you can't select another province anymore in one of the other map modes.

- Unit promotions/unit promotion cards after battle are missing.

- The font in "current trade overview" menu is semi transparant on brown background and hard to read

- The font in the lower right "trade resources" menu is semi transparant and hard to read.

- TXT_MISSING in save game menu.

- TXT_MISSING on Cragenwaste campaign selection screen.

- TXT_MISSING on mouse over info for auto battle only in gameplay options screen.

- Lot's of CTD's on end turn in campaign map and on lot's of CTD's on end turn in tactical battle for which I send the ingame error reports.

I hope the new patch/beta will fix some of the gamebreaking issues.
The devs respond in the Steam forums to the list if isssues btw.
