Battle Academy

Post by Coda »

I have been trying to create axis mission on the battle editor. I created a new campaign. I then went into program files(x86)\Slitherine\Battle Academy\DATA\SIDE.TXT and copied:
[Allies]
UI COLOUR 00ffffff
Nation 7

[Axis]
UI COLOUR 00ff1111
Nation 1

I then went into documents\my games\BA\campaigns\Axis_Dab\campaign and pasted what I'd copied. I then moved:

[Axis]
UI COLOUR 00ff1111
Nation 1

to the top. But I am still unable to create an Axis scenario.

I'd appreciate any suggestions on what to do.

Thank you - Coda

Hi Coda

What you've done with the SIDES.TXT is correct but you then have to go into the editor and change the flags for each side.

Then delete the pre existing units if there are any and replace them.

The scenario should then be good to go.

Hi Pet Cat - many thanks for the tip. I went into the editor and changed the flags as you suggested - I changed the side ID for side 0 to from Russian to German (from "7" to "1") and changed the side 1 ID from German to Russian, unfortunately the computer still controls the German equipment - Tiger tanks, panzershreck etc. - while I still control the Russian - t-34s, kvs. Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I will keep looking. If you have any other thoughts please let me know. I appreciate greatly the help you've already given. - Coda

Cheers

There is no proper way to change the side of the units on the map just by moving files.

Delete all your German units then replace them, then delete and replace the Russian units.
