Where is the nice wood border around my 3D map?

If I make my map 2D, the wood will show up around my map. But playing in the 3D mode, I only have a black border around my map, whats up? Steam version.........

sounds like you have files missing maybe

It may have been removed to display more of the map.
We had a discussion about this during the original beta.
Personally, I don't miss it.
