Organic transport issue in scenario editor

For some reason, whatever transports I add to equipment.pzdat, I can only choose from these four types of organic transport in the Scenario Editor. What am I doing wrong?



Edit: in case you're wondering, the truck is the British Bedford truck, not any truck that I have selected.

This isn't the only way to allocate transports.

Select "Land Transports" in the unit type box (the one next to the question mark).
Pick the transport you want to give to your unit in the list down the left of the screen.
click on the unit to get transport.
If the transport and the unit are compatible, then the unit should now have transport assigned.
You need the truck button on to show the transports.

For SE units, you need to create SE transports with bonus trait - it took a while to solve that one.

I have learned that changing unit types can result in some curious behaviours, so stay sharp - I once changed a normal field gun into an SP gun which ended up mounted on a truck, which puzzled me for a while. This is also a risk after cutting and pasting unit stats in the equipment file.

Another safer option is to edit the "editor_unitparams.htm" file. In that file you can add all the new transport units you want (i.e. my mod already has dozens of new trucks).
I can tell you how to do it but I think the content of the file is self explanatory.

That's one I didn't know about. I will have to have a look into it.
