Unit Traits

Post by apec »

I noticed that some fighters have Dogfight unit trait, what specific advantage this is supposed to provide vs fighters without the trait? The description says "excels against combact fighters and tactical bombers" but I would like to know which unit parameter is affected i.e. +1 attack etc.
Does someone know where to find a more precise description of the unit traits effects (apart the obvious ones such as carrier based, torpedo launcer etc.)

Hi apec,

Some unit traits don't actually provide a specific bonus, but are used to tag units for easy reference. I this case, the trait is a quick at-a-glance summary of the overall stats of the unit.

Thank you Myrddraal. So I just need to look at unit stats when deciding with fighter is best :-)

I think it would help players if ie fighters were given a letter denoting their 'type, ie F (best against other fighters), I (intercepting bombers), G (suitable for ground attack).
Some fighters would display a combination, the P38 (F,I,G) for instance.
This system could probably be extended to other air types as well.
