The Hoplite Phalanx differs from the Macedonian one in that rather than a wall of pikes its a wall of shields.
Thinking about this lead to this train of thought:
If we could create formations, couldnt we make one for Triarii were they cluster very close together. And if we could create animations they could hold their shields up so they overlap - finally adding them as a new unit so they dont replace the origional Triarii would actually make an accurate representation of a Hoplite Phalanx. And if Slitherine were to edit the Triarii model so they didnt have the headress it would be even cooler (though that is in no way a necescity)
Now, I havent really had a look at the *.txt files, but i have had a look at the excell file in the data folder (the name escapes me) and it looks to me that making new formations could be a possibility - The animations im not so sure on however.
So my question! Could our best and brightest find a way to do this?? I will almost certainly be looking for a way, but i think my attempts will be limited by the fact im working on v.02 of my textures - too many projects, too little time
