I haven't gone past Moscow '43 yet but judging by the campaign tree you will be on the defense no matter what your choice is. I would guess the main difference is whether you want to face masses of Soviet armour or Anglo-American air force

Re: [Axis Campaign] SS-GTPG v1.14 (17-04-15)
Sorry for the late replies, i have my hands full with General Patton ordering me around.
@Jaywalker
Three times in the campaign list is an unfortunate side-effect of not dividing the campaign files from the unit files. All three should work, so just pick one.
@ptje63
No changes to captured units as i recall, just a whole bunch of SS units. This custom unit base comes from the hand of Airbornemongo's Total Elite mod.
It is possible that AIrbornemongo made some changes to the vanilla part of the equipment file; that might be the explanation that the availability date for the He 111 has been changed.
About unit upgrade, i suppose the unit upgrades work according to the same principle as for the stock units; for ex. upgrading a Pz IIIF to a Pz IIIG is cheaper than upgrading a Pz IIIF to a Pz IVD.
@davidhansen
Both are equally challenging if i recall well. The prestige allocation is entirely based on my playthrough several years ago.
I think playing the "vanilla" GTPG with PHCAS mod should prove quite interesting; unfortunately i am lacking the time to play any custom stuff atm.

The only change I recall is SU 122 (r) has a "bonus" flag added so if you acquire it somehow it will count as an SE unit.nikivdd wrote: No changes to captured units as i recall, just a whole bunch of SS units. This custom unit base comes from the hand of Airbornemongo's Total Elite mod.

I would suggest importing the equipment.pzscn file as a CSV file into Excel or similar tool (Open Office Chart for example). Then have a look at the "Series" column - in the spreadsheet you can sort/group items easily, i.e. all "PzIII" variants. There is also a dedicated Equipment Editor made by Mike Garnett which makes browsing (and editing) units a breeze. Highly recommended!

I can only find an equipment.pzeqp file...tenshin111 wrote:I would suggest importing the equipment.pzscn file as a CSV file into Excel or similar tool (Open Office Chart for example). Did find the Equipment Editor and a list of comments - where can one find the instructions how to use it?
Re: [Axis Campaign] SS-GTPG v1.14 (17-04-15)
Hi! The 'equipment.pzeqp' is the correct file; you can open it with MS Excel or similar (it sometimes asks on how to display the formatting first), this file has all the information about the unit stats.ptje63 wrote:I can only find an equipment.pzeqp file...
The 'series' column is on the far right, and if it has a custom (user defined) word in it for that particular unit, it belongs to an 'upgrade family' with that name.
This means that any upgrades between units (in the same class) that have that same word in that column will cost only the difference between the two units instead of the full price. (No refunds for a cheaper unit, however).
Somewhere in the middle is a column called 'Available from' which has the date that the unit is introduced to the game.
It's very old and I don't know if it will correctly display all the more recent additions, but here you go: viewtopic.php?t=26898Did find the Equipment Editor and a list of comments - where can one find the instructions how to use it?

Re: [Axis Campaign] SS-GTPG v1.14 (17-04-15)
I'm still using this editor and haven't encountered any problems except for one - if you load a custom e-file that uses very high ID numbers for some of the units (like 10'000 and above) the editor will crashThvN wrote:It's very old and I don't know if it will correctly display all the more recent additions, but here you go: viewtopic.php?t=26898Did find the Equipment Editor and a list of comments - where can one find the instructions how to use it?

Thanks will check it out on a lazy sunday afternoon - even though some information on the forum is "old" and much of the correspondence is from the early years when the game was just out - glad it is still supported very well (and fast...) by gamers and developers for newcomers to the game as well - compliments

I have finished the USA Grand Campaign, it is in the queue for beta testing. This is to be released as official content.
I am also upgrading the German Grand Campaign with the new equipment from the upcoming Soviet Corps and the new Panzer Corps patch for which i started a thread in this section of the forum.
I am also considering a USSR Grand Campaign, but that depends on how much time i have to spare.

Re: [Axis Campaign] SS-GTPG v1.14 (17-04-15)
I've managed to get my campaign up to the Berlin East scenerio.
To continue my campaign the desiner notes say to do so I must realize a DV only.
The DV conditions are to both hold the 7 key gold objective hexes in an around Berlin AND destroy 200 or so Russian units within a 30 turn timeframe.
Any advice on the best strategy to use here?
With the Russians as the attackers, do I let them just come to me wave after wave? Or at some point do I have to take the offensive after 15 turns or so in order to reach the 200 unit requirement?
Is the 30 turn limit reasonably achievable or I must throw all caution to the winds and sacrifice tons of my 3 and 4 level experience units to move forward in the campaign.
Do all Russian units both ground and air have to be eliminated from the map for the 200 unit DV requirement to be realized?
BTW...an excellent very long campaign that I've been playing on and off for 2 years...but always manage to return to when my batteries have been recharged.

New download links are posted in the first post of this thread. There are two download links because sendspace allows files up to 300Mb.aldebaran83 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 1:36 pm sorry for reopening such an old thread, but is there, somewhere, a working download link for this mod?
The version i posted however is the release version (v1.0). I cannot seem to find the final version (v1.14) in my PzC archive. Well, at least it is better than nothing.
