Afrika Korps update failure

Hi

I recently downloaded a purchased/registered version of Afrika Korps. When I run the exe the games installs
correctly. I can run and play the game. When the initial screen comes up one of the choices is to update. I do
this and it updates with Panzer Corp 1.24. When I run the game its Allied Corps!! The game will load Allied Corp
and run correctly. Where is my Afrika Korps? I do have a registered version of Allied Corps but it is in a directory
with a different path. I successfully upgraded Allied Corps by the way. Can someone help me out? I have been trying
to solve this for some time. I wiped out the Afrika Korps directory several times with the same result. I also made sure I
used my correct license number for the install.

uninstall both games and makes sure fully the install folders are empty,

run a program like ccleaner to make sure all files associated with the game are gone, folders, registry etc, this is just a free one but there's plenty more that do the same thing. (google it, it's a free program and 100% safe and is M/S certified)

install the first one to the default location, then update to the latest version, once it says there are no more updates, install second one also to the default location and again update to the latest version until no more are available,

please make sure all game pre requisite are installed with the game, even if you think or fully know there are already installed, it will only over write, and it may be that you have a older or newer version of these where as the game in question may need a certain version.

add the exe of the game to your Anti Virus and firewall program, to make sure to check the logs of these to see if it was one of them which was to blame.

run the game from a admin account and use full admin permissions.

now you should have two shortcuts to the games.

I just went through the procedure you wrote in your post but only for Afika Korps. After installing the game
it starts correctly. Going back to the intro screen its asks me to update. I do and the game runs fine. Now here
is where I may be screwing up. I then install the 1.24 update from a zip file that was downloaded. Now when I run
I have allied corps. Is the 1.24 not to be used with Afrika Korps? I have made sure I am using the proper license key.

By the way running the registry cleaner did find some old entries and these were removed.

Probably you are installing the games in the wrong sequence.

I am banging my head on the table. Reinstalled a clean installation. When I hit play on the initial screen now I get CRC
error message. This is new.

Definitely you have a corrupted installation. You need to uninstall and clean some specific Windows registry keys.
For cleaning those keys don't use CCleaner, I'll provide you with a proper cleaner.
Do you have a 32bit or a 64bit Windows version?

I currently use Norton utilities for registry cleaning. It has found some problems but were
cleaned up. I am running WIN 10 64 bit.

The error message is "CRC check failed. Please try to reinstall game". This error happens when I try to install
Afrika or Allied versions. I am wondering if my downloaded versions of the game have been corrupted. The

only and was sent on 1/17/16. As I said this CRC error is new. At least before I could install the game and without doing
any updates the game would run.

Please do the following:
1. Uninstall the game
2. Check the folder where the game was previously installed and delete any file and folder that might still be there after having uninstalled the game
3. Download the file attached in this message PanzerCorps_ClRegKey-x64.zip
4. Unzip the downloaded file and run the extracted file PanzerCorps_ClRegKey-x64.reg
5. Allow the "program" to delete the Windows registry keys regarding the game
6. Install Afrika Korps
7. Install Allied Corps
8. Download and install patch1.24:

9. Unzip the downloaded file. Run the extracted file to update the game

Run the game and check if the issue is fixed.

following your instructions Allied Corp runs ok and the version is 1.24.
Run Afrika Korps and I get the initial play screen Panzer Corps Wehrmacht. When I
select play I get Allied Corps. One question, when I install the 1.24 upgrade it wants
a license key which is already filled in with my Afrika Korps license. I proceed with the
install using that license.

Before I ran the 1.24 update I could get the correct play screens for both Allied And Afrika.

My solution (03 Apr 2015) is for those who have Panzer Corps and Afrika Korps.The safe mode is suggested when a 3rd party program might be interfering with the installation.

Anyway, One way or another I'm happy to know that the game is running now.

Sorry maybe my previous post ( 19 Jan 2016 16:08 ) was not clear, Afrika Korps still is failing.
When I update to 1.24 Afrika Korp play screen has been replaced by the Panzer Corps Wehrmacht.
