1 / how does a mixed BG of 6 HF and 3 lf turns 180 ° ?
the BG is 3 bases wide and 3 ranks deep. LF are at the third rank. When doing 180 °, how do they do? do they still keep the same relative order of ranks? or does the LF become front rank or both situation are possible?
2/ is it true that when considering mixed BG size for rear support questions, LF counts as HF for rear support size needed and LF doesn't count as HF for giving rear support.
3/ imagine such a mixed Bg where a HF base is destroyed, so the file is now one HF in front / one LF at rear. If i want to add a base in combat at my manoeuvre (if i have one) can i add a HF in second frank and pusch the LF in third position?

The answer to your first question is in, IIRC, the basic movement section of the rules and when you turn 180 your original front rank becomes the new front rank and not the LF.

LF counts towards the size of the supported BG for how much rear support you need.2/ is it true that when considering mixed BG size for rear support questions, LF counts as HF for rear support size needed and LF doesn't count as HF for giving rear support.
Supporting BG need to be "non-skirmishers" to count.
In the glossary "Skirmishers" is "LF in a BG of only LF".
So LF which are part of an HF BG can count towards giving rear support.
If the LF is in a position where it can fight, then it cannot be moved (page 73).3/ imagine such a mixed Bg where a HF base is destroyed, so the file is now one HF in front / one LF at rear. If i want to add a base in combat at my manoeuvre (if i have one) can i add a HF in second frank and pusch the LF in third position?
What you could have done is replaced the dead front-rank HF with another HF from elsewhere in the BG when it died. This may require a degree of foresight in some situations.
Note, however, that the second rank fights with the same POA as the front rank and a single base of LF still gets 1 dice (LF loses 1 dice per 2, if there is only 1 dice it does not lose any). Therefore the second rank LF fights the same as an HF, provided thre is only one of them.

Re: mixed BG questions
LF only count as skirmishers when in BGs entirely of LF. Hence when in mixed BGs they count both for receiving and giving rear support.domblas wrote:2/ is it true that when considering mixed BG size for rear support questions, LF counts as HF for rear support size needed and LF doesn't count as HF for giving rear support.
When you replace a lost front rank base it is replaced by a non-front-rank-fighting base from anywhere in the battlegroup. So, effectively, the answer to your question is yes. (But as Lawrence says, you must do it at the time the front rank base is removed, not in the manouvre phase).3/ imagine such a mixed Bg where a HF base is destroyed, so the file is now one HF in front / one LF at rear. thx for ur answers. points one and two are answered
On point 3 i am half answered because situations may come where i'd like to add a base at manoeuvre phase. my exemple of losing a base in combat was badly chosen. let say i have a BG in close combat composed of one rank of HF and one of LF in rear, and at manoeuvre phase, i wanna add a free HF base (=non fighting). Can i add it in second rank and push the LF in 3rd rank?
