Music bugging out and stops playing during campaigns

Hello, I recently got the game looking forward to playing it.

However, the music stops playing after a while. And in the main menu, it seems to bug out in the mainmenu as well for odd reasons, like the PC is too fast and plays the music at insane speeds or starts playing it for split second and repeats trying to play it, and this in such rapid succession it becomes a garbled mess.

So far I played through the first three tutorials without music sadly.

please make sure all game pre requisite are installed with the game, even if you think or fully know there are already installed, it will only over write, and it may be that you have a older or newer version of these where as the game in question may need a certain version.

direct X 9 and other pre requisite that come with the game are needed.

there is no error's reported either in your dxr logs, have you posted it all? or missed the last few lines?

I'm having the same problem for roughly 4 months or so, and yet to find a solution.

Campaign it works fine. Maybe verifying game cache integrity fixed it. Try that.

verifying game cache integrity can't harm it so always a good idea if it's a steam copy to try a self repair first, thanks

This fixed the game. I now enjoy the game very much. This topic may be closed.

Afraid the problem has returned. For some reason. Then, if I close the game and verify the game cache again, the problem disappears. It always downloads a 2 KB file, like as if some file keeps messing up.
The music just stops playing after an hour or so. And the music in the campaign menu starts to sound corrupted. When I tab out of the game, the music returns to normal speed but only for the moment it takes to tab out or back in.

if something is removing the file, check your antivirus program installed, to see if this is the problem as that maybe interfering with it, and need to add the game and folder to the safe list of that

add the exe of the game to your Anti Virus and firewall program, to make sure to check the logs of these to see if it was one of them which was to blame.

run the game from a admin account and use full admin permissions.

I'm continuing to have the issue. I've tried verifying game caches to no avail, it didn't really download any files. In my case I'm using Nod 32, but I don't think that's the reason. I'd be more than happy to come up with a solution to this. Any ideas?

this above ^^ as something on your pc is interfearing with the file or cache, it's not game related

That usually means a 3rd party program, like an Internet security programs, is interfering with the game or update installation.

MY only suggestion:
Please try to disable all background programs in case these are interfering with the normal running of the game.
You can do this by running msconfig and disabling all non-windows start-up programs and services.
Then once you have disabled all non-Microsoft services, please run the game and see if the issue persists.
If it does not, please then reopen msconfig and reenable those services, one by one, until you find the program causing the problem.

Sorry for the late reply, but yeah this one seemingly fixed the problem. I wonder why.
