Hotseat DAG battle

Post by SSLConf_kenh »

Hi,

Is there anyway to do a DAG battle against another human on the same computer? If you choose New Scenario Battle you have a choice if your opponent is AI or human. However, if you choose New DAG Battle it looks like your opponent has to be the AI.

Thanks,

Ken

I just picked up the game and can't see any option for a DAG Hotseat battle either.. this would be pretty a pretty awesome feature.
Hope they include this feature some time soon, if there's not already some secret way to do it.

There is currently no option for DAG hotseat. However, the free FOG2 is coming out very soon and I seem to remember that DAG hotseat will be one of the new features.

You can try recreating both DAG armies in a scenario. Should work just fine.

With latest release I can now create DAG hotseat games.

Don't know if it is something I am missing, but there doesn't seem to be a deployment phase and the armies just appear along the edge of the board on the first turn.

But at least Hotseat is working :)

Update on this. The deployment phase for the first up appears to not happen, when you end turn, the second player deployment comes up.

I solved this and made the first person deployment come up by saving the game immediately and then reloading and then the first player deployment phase appears.

How do you do it?

I have v1.8.1, which says it's the latest version.

When I select "New Scenario Battle" and switch the Game Type dropdown, it pops up a message saying "Selecting 'Digital Army Generator game' allows you to play a battle using a custom army you have previously designed using the Digital Army Generator." but that isn't an option in the dropdown. The only options I have are "Historical Game", "Battle Pack 1", and "Custom Game".

"New DAG Battle" doesn't have an AI or Human option.

I tried the solution listed for Pike and Shot - make a multiplayer challenge and accept it yourself (viewtopic.php?f=299&t=53341), but the challenge I issued doesn't show up in the "Accept a challenge" tab.
