Kallapani and other mounted foot

Hi. I´ve been a beta tester, and now I´m waiting for the translation into spanish to buy the manual. Reading the beta list found the followin entry:
Kallapani: mounted MEDIUM FOOT. Well, I´ve read the 6.00 beta version and have only found rules concerning mounted troops that can dismount, but nothing about MOUNTED FOOT. Are they different? What kind of mounted unit should kallapani be?

Mounted foot are not covered by the final rules - they have been left for a possible campaign supplement.

Mounted infantry appear in the army lists just as the type of infantry they were.
