After Soviet Corps?
I am very excited about the upcoming Soviet Corps...but it makes me wonder what is next? I'd prefer a Panzer Corps game set in the Pacific Theater with the Allies against the Empire of Japan.
I've played Order of Battle: Pacific, but it just isn't as good as the Panzer Corps game engine.
Are there plans for life after Soviet Corps?

Soviet Grand Campaign?
Re: After Soviet Corps?
What about some kind of prequel to the German Grand Campaign?
Condor Legion (German "volunteers" in the Spanish Civil War)--> This would be the basis for an equivalent in the Russian Grand Campaigns
--> Both cores could be imported to the resprective Grand Campaigns
Sequel to the GC 1939: Volunteers in the Finish war: A mix of italians, spanish and german troops fighting the soviets --> gives an international core to the poland campaign and opens the way for a more broad variety in the core. This may reflect on the multinational background of the campaigns in the USSR.
It would open the German core to truely cheap units that could be sacrificed on the retreat or are meant to hold backwater areas against rebellions.

Re: After Soviet Corps?
I would be so down with a soviet Grand Campaign, I hadn't thought of that, but you know that would be a slaughterhouse trying to build up a strong Russian core army not consisting of exclusively big dog tanks, I think it could be interesting, only if they could put some kind of restriction on the ability to buy the soviet heavies.

Some of the graphics for Soviet Corps have been in the game files for a long time (at least as long as AC has been out), but there are no graphics for any Pacific Corps or anything like that.
nikivdd has hinted at "Something USA", but I don't imagine there will be much after that.

Re: After Soviet Corps?
How about a poll what kind of DLC / further campaigns players would prefer?
Korea Corps and Cold War Corps sound good to me.
I'm also in favor of an official extended remake of the original PC campaign, using all the extra stuff that was included into the game in the following extensions and DLCs.
What would also be cool would be an alternative campaign where the July 20th 1944 assassination / putsch is a success. The first few scenarios in such a campaign could be a power struggle against Nazi loyalists, and then you have to win some defensive battles against the allies until they agree on a favorable armistice.

The game is awesome but it shows its age and limitations. As a game developer you don't have the luxury of supporting one of your titles indefinitely - at some point it's time to leave it as it is and start working on something new.
Soviet Corps was mentioned quite a while ago, if I remember correctly from the forums. And finally we're close to getting it. I agree with BNC that we'll most likely not see any more official content for PzC, maybe one more update or something like that. Or that "American" thing mentioned by Niki.
I also hope that the next "big thing" will be PzC 2

Arab Isreali wars? There was a board game by that title released by Avalon Hill. Similar to Panzer Blitz and Panzer Leader. Could be similar to Afrika Korp
Re: After Soviet Corps?
It is possible that a year ago Soviet Corps was regarded as the final addition to Panzer Corps but in the meantime, a bit out of the blue perhaps, operation Sea Lion has appeared. Thanks for all the people who purchased it btw!
Soviet Corps is not the final content, there will be more, at least from my part another GC. As usual, proper announcements will appear when the beta for that is ready.

It is another Christmas Miracle. I couldn't be happier to hear news that this great game will continue to put out content.

ahaha you've just read my mind
After reading in depth about the Midway battle I'd like to play some Pacific scenarios with the ships.
Actually, a player can chose to follow either McArthur's path (army) or Nimitz's (navy) way to the victory
Re: After Soviet Corps?
As nikivdd wrote we can expect another GC after Soviet Corps.
After this I think too, the war in the Pacific (USA/Japan) is the next logical step.
And may be (like in Pacific General) we can then use ships as core units.

Re: After Soviet Corps?
There's mods that let you do that already. You should play War of the World II! (Download link in my signature)peterw wrote:And may be (like in Pacific General) we can then use ships as core units.
As much as I would enjoy the Pacific theatre, I think Order of Battle is (by far) the better game to play for that. PzC is nearing the end of its update life (after which we can possibly hope for a PzC 2 or something)

My own Mod Italia Victor! (see my signature) uses ships as core units too.
Nevertheless I would like to see this in an "official" game.

Re: After Soviet Corps?
Lets go to the Pacific, please-please-please, the ETO has been done to death, its time for the PTO to shine for a change!
I know the game is old now and all, and a PZC2 or what have you would be fantastic, but PZC in the pacific is still doable, OOB Pac is fun and all - but PZC is still a great game.
