Re: The New Field of Glory
well, hold down your horses: the beginning of the week passed yesterday's evening, and I still have not succeeded to finish the async task handling system and implement it through all the (relevant) code yet.
So, it will take a little bit longer. I hope for tomorrow evening, I aim for Friday evening and I won't say even Monday morning (to avoid missing a self-imposed deadline yet again). Unfortunately, evaluating bug fixing required work time is something which can not really be estimated.

A "piece de la resistance" should always have a bug hidden at the center of the work of art!cothyso wrote:well, hold down your horses: the beginning of the week passed yesterday's evening, and I still have not succeeded to finish the async task handling system and implement it through all the (relevant) code yet.

Re: The New Field of Glory
I've only played for a few minutes and already it's clearly more polished than last version. I am just waiting on some human opponents.
I suppose now we're just waiting on Slitherine to "officially" release it so it can replace the current game and server, as well as release Wolves of the Sea? Is there any estimated date for this? Until there's an official release, it's very difficult for players to get into the game, run tournaments, and use all the new features (some of which obviously aren't in this build, such as editor etc).

Re: The New Field of Glory
We've just got preliminary feedback for the v2.2.00.1006 (GC5) PC build (sent for reviewing on 11th September 2015), stating that everything's looking good, and no problems were found. Slitherine will do a little bit more testing and looking for a release slot.
I've also added the v2.2.00.1006 (GC5) OSX beta version (which has the same code as the OSX release build sent for reviewing on 13th October 2015) to the build's download page.
Cheers,
dan

Re: The New Field of Glory
Yay, news of progress. I'd be so happy if it came out before Christmas.

I have decided to delay the start of Season 5 until we know exactly when the new version is going to be released. Hopefully it will be within the next week or so.===
Just sayin'…….

Updated the FoG(U) v2.2.00.1006 (GC5) build's post with a new features list (WIP).
Re: The New Field of Glory
I know this has been debated before, but the graphics, when running this latest build, are much sharper than the previous graphics. It may be my imagination, but the graphics look great.

The FoG(U) v2.3.00.1014 (RB) release build
Re: The New Field of Glory
I am really glad to hear this as well. My iPad gaming options are limited and FoG was one of my favorites when I was a PC gamer.
Thanks!

Sorry you are not longer a PC gamer. It's the only way to go, for the hardcores anyway

Great game. I bought the base game without any Addons. Played easily, but not primitive. High resolution screen supports normal. And generally like war-game, looks better than I imagined before.
