Buttons on Panzer Corps window don't work

I downloaded the 1.24 version upgrade for my Panzer Corps game. It now opens a new window when I click on the icon. The "play panzer corps Wehrmacht" button for the game works fine but none of the six buttons at the bottom left work, like "store" and "forum". They just open a dark page when I click on them. I am using a PC laptop with an i5 processor on windows 7. Can you tell me what I'm not doing correctly? Thanks.

Maybe it's the Anti-virus, or any other security program, that it's interfering.
Apart from that I can't imagine why those buttons are not working with you.

OK, so part of the problem seems to be a security setting. If I turn off the security setting, the buttons work, but now the forums button takes me to the "new releases" section of the Panzer Corps forum, rather than general heading section. I can't even navigate to the general headings section from there. What's going on?

scan the pc for errors with a good anti virus and spyware program, then change browsers and see if a different one like chrome works for you
