Simple question about multiplayer...

This game looks interesting enough to try. One quick question about multiplayer...I assume that the turns get passed from player to player through PBEM but how can the 'sides' get split up with 4 players? Can it be like 3 on the Allied side co-oping against Japan?

A scenario can be designed with 1-4 players, they can be set up in any configuration with only humans or against the AI being one of the players.
Most (all?) multiplayer scenarios are 1v1, 2v2 or 2vAI.
The are a bunch of multiplayer scenarios in the Scenario sub-forum.

No, campaigns are single player only.
But playing a campaign against a dedicated opponent would indeed be nice.
