Panzer Corps: Soviet Corps Beta Call!

Post by Daniele »

We saw the panzers arrive, crushing everything under their tracks. We thought our Air Forces would save us, but they were completely smashed in the first days of fighting.

Cities fell one after the other. Our forces withdrew deeper and deeper inside the Motherland.

Now Winter is coming and Moscow is close to being besieged.

It’s time to push back the invaders!

The acclaimed wargame series Panzer Corps is back with another incredible stand-alone expansion! Soviet Corps will bring you at the head of the Red Army in its grimmest moment: you will have to stop the overpowering Wehrmacht! Save every resource possible, retake the initiative and push the Germans to Berlin!

This expansion is ready to enter the Beta Phase! Be part of this great milestone and help us in giving the final touches!

You can apply for the Beta here.

The product page mentions Kalkin Gol (called the Nomonhan incident by the Japs), this occured in the middle of 1939. Winter War is virtually confirmed with the Finnish screenshots.

I don't know what you are talking about :?:

Great news!

Is that a new terrain type in screenshot no. 6?

The screenshot with the scenario fighting Japan looks like it's August 1945, not Khalkhin Gol. Khalkhin Gol is mentioned in the product description though, so it looks like we get at least 2 scenarios fighting against the Japanese.

I'm not sure what this new terrain type is - I can't see anything different in that screen (the Stalingrad one, yes?)

The Japanese screenshot is obviously August Storm, so 2 scenarios vs Japs. Well, unless an invasion of Japan and/or Korea has been added as well.

Sorry, I mixed up the numbers, and can't figure out how to directly link to the image. Seems like I meant the first one, and I'm speaking of the cliffs / plateau kind of terrain, but maybe that was already introduced in Sealion?

The cliffs are created by adding coastline overlays to a land hex. I have done this in mods before  . Unless the devs have created some special rule, there will be no difference in how they work compared to regular clear tiles (I suspect one side of the cliff has been set to hills though)

Finally !:) I am happy that soon I will play on the Eastern Front
Will you plan more detailed US campaign (f.e. Dragoon, Lorraine, Hurtgen Forrest, Operation Nordwind, Remagen)??? because Allied Corps preffered British or combined operation in the northern part of the west front.

Translators' speech might be slightly broken, but usually one can work out what they're trying to say. Above post makes absolutely no sense at all.

So I would think that someone put a keyboard into a box, jiggled it around a bit, and then ran it through spell check!
