Missing Yorktown - Coral Sea US Scenario

Post by DieselRocket »

Have proceeded well past the Coral Sea battle in US campaign. Coral Sea now in my single player scenarios list.

When I play the US Coral Sea scenario, I am missing the Yorktown - I only have one carrier, which makes it not only impossible to win the scenario, but historically inaccurate. Anyone else have this issue? Is this a bug or a mis-design of the scenario? A problem with my installation?

Really want to replay this scenario, but just no chance with only one carrier. Not enough initial prestige points (200) are available to buy a Yorktown class, much less outfit it with planes... :(

Thx,

DieselRocket

I have only been playing the campaigns so I don't know if there was a change in the resource points from earlier versions, but I also have version 1.9.4e loaded and when I just checked a minute ago, my starting resource points are the same as yours--200. That's a pretty challenging starting point for this battle! I get the feeling from looking at the other scenarios that the starting value probably was meant to be 2000. That would make a lot more sense. But if there is anyone out there who achieved all the objectives in this scenario starting off with only 200 points, you have my congratulations because that's quite an achievement. I think I'd also like to avoid ever playing against that person in a multi-player game for fear of being completely annihilated!
