As entries are now coming in thick and fast this is a reminder to
all those wishing to attend Britcon 2008 to get their entries in as
soon as possible.

Not only will this secure your place at the gaming tables it will mean that you will also get the accommodation package
you want.

So book now to avoid disappointment!

http://www.bhgs.co.uk/Nationals/IntroPage.htm

We hope to see many of you there.

JD

When will you be opening up Britcon entries without the "accomodation package"?

There is no change to the information on the website, which is:

"A limited number of day entries may become available if there are any table spaces available after residential bookings are filled. Announcements concerning this will be made at a later date and they cannot be pre-booked until that time. Players whose permanent home address is Manchester can enter on a day basis. The cost of a day package is £37.50 and does not include breakfast or parking."

Please note the important "may" in there.

Just to be clear, in case somebody reading this misunderstands, Spike can book now as he is a Manchester resident.

I don't know the numbers but as JD hasn't rung me in a panic ... 8)

I am expecting them to be at least as good as the BHGS Challenge - which was 51 FoG players in the 15mm and 25mm competitions combined - so as long as I'm not totally wrong we should be pretty healthy.

Will we see you there?

Yup, my application's in. I've just arranged a practice game as well, so that'll make two since the last Britcon!

Two questions

How many entrants are there so far?

Do you have any more spaces available?

Britcon Day Entries

We are now in the position to offer a limited number of Day Entries to Britcon 2008.

These will be offered on a first come first served basis although priority will be given to those players who are willing to balance periods or to float between periods if necessary.

Please contact us in the usual way as detailed on http://www.bhgs.co.uk/Nationals/IntroPage.htm

I suspect a prize for the most points given away by a seed may be in order,I have feeling even I may be on the cusp of being seeded,I reckon at least 5 or 6 of the top 10 arn't playing or doing 25mm

Well this ought to put to rest the "medieval knights and pikes are over cost effective" issue at least in 15mm. (But not in 28mm).

But we now have the "New Reigate Roman" (TM), (not from Reigate)
