I think it would be nice if you could have more than one plane take off from a airfield/carrier per turn as I find it's difficult to form a cohesive and devastating strike when I have to wait several turns to launch all my planes from my carrier fleet.

You can do it, somehow, with several small carriers, but spending a lot of naval command points. Anyway, it seems it will be possible soon to build small field airfields, an option that can fit you.

You can launch two aircraft from one airfield same turn. still only one aircraft from carrier per turn.

note that the 2-air unit launch will be available in an upgrade, probably when the Morning Sun expansion (currently in beta testing) comes out.
